Michael Jackson Settles His Case

Micheal Jackson will not have to testify in London after all. Mike recently settled the lawsuit filed against him by Bahrainian Sheik Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa who claims M Jack stiffed him out of $7 million dollars. And it's a good thing too. The Sheik had a signed agreement and everything so it was basically a slam dunk. Plus, in preliminary hearings in London last week, Mike's former nanny Grace Rwaramba testified that Mike deposited money given to him by the Sheik into her bank account because Jacko didn't have one. Oh, and now "they're" saying that Mike's Muslim conversion was a publicity stunt.

Brandy

has not told her daughter about the car crash she was involved in that left one woman dead. She reveals, "It was a very tough time, and I still have never talked about it with Sy'rai. I had to be a mother and stay strong for her. I'd cry when she'd go to sleep so she wouldn't see me like that - I had a responsibility to her." Why are we bringing this up? Because Brandy is promoting her new cd 'Human' so she's been on the promo circuit spilling her guts. She also says the reason she lied about being married is because she felt tremendous pressure to be a good role model. And she declares, "I think this is my year because I've decided that I'm going to go with the flow in my life. The purpose of my life is music. It's my responsibility to give the fans something they've been waiting for, something they deserve."

They Say

Michael Jackson has converted to Islam. Not sure if I believe it, but that's what "they're" saying. And in more M-Jack news, Mike has to hustle his butt over to London to testify in court, because a Bahrainian sheik is claiming Jacko swindled him out of 7 million dollars after promising to write a book, stage a play and record a new record for him. The sheik took Mike in for a year after he beat those molestation charges and apparently Mike promised him the moon in exchange but never fulfilled his agreements. This is old news really but the case is just now coming up. Click here for a catch-up.

The Roots In A Bus Crash

The Roots' bus tipped over in Belgium, but everybody is ok. Bassist Owen Biddle released a statement saying they are, "all in surprisingly good shape and very thankful to be alive," after the bus lost control with the seven-piece band and five crew members mostly asleep. He goes on to describe the crash recalling, "I was startled awake, bracing against the roof of my bunk when the bus began violently rocking and eventually slammed down on it's left side, on top of a van, which our driver said had veered into us, sending both vehicles, wedged together, off the road and into trees beyond the right margin. Not knowing which way was up at first, I made my way out through the window of the upstairs back lounge, which was facing the ground and had been smashed by rescue workers. The response was immediate. We were taken to a nearby hotel as a sort of staging area. From there, I was one of two who opted to go to the hospital for X-rays, as I was having trouble lifting my right arm. Only minor stuff," he says. But the crash didn't stop the show. The Roots are back on the road headed to Paris to open for Kanye.

Remy Home For Christmas?

She will be if she has her way. Incarcerated rapper Remy Ma filed an appeal against the eight year bid she pulled after being convicted of shooting one of her girl pals in the gut over a missing 3 grand. The basis of her appeal accuses the judge of making several mistakes while instructing the jury on victim Makeda Barnes Joseph's testimony, plus Remy thinks the jury should not have been told about how she and her people jumped on Makeda's boyfriend while threatening him about Makeda's testimony. Yeah, that should go over well.
