The Virginian-Pilot newspaper reported that Michael Vick's lawyers have filed papers asking the court to let him plead guilty from federal prison in Leavenworth, Kansas, where he is serving a two-year sentence on federal charges related to dog fighting. The papers say that Vick must resolve the state charges before he becomes eligible for admission into a halfway house. Vick is scheduled for release July 20 and could enter a program up to six months before that date.

Baby Gets Probation
Do you remember when Baby's tour bus got pulled over and it was like 12 or 13 dudes on the bus and one female and they found a pound of weed? No? Click here to catch up. For all the rest, Baby and his brother Slim were able to skate on the subsequent drug distribution charges filed against them because it was determined that the weed was for personal use and not for sale. So Baby and his brother pleaded 'No Contest' to reduced charges of possession and were sentenced to 11 months and 29 days of unsupervised probation. If they make through with no incidents, their records will be expunged.

Oprah Confiscates Cell Phones
Oprah Winfrey confiscated the high tech cell phones she'd issued to all the students at her Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa after finding out only half of them passed their final exams. The phones, issued after a sex abuse scandal rocked the school last year, had loads of features and access to a cell phone chat service called MXit. A parent of one student told local South African newspaper Cape Argus, "They were all handpicked by Oprah Winfrey to attend her great school. It must have been so disappointing for her to see that only half of the girls passed the last quarter - all because they are spending so much time on that dreadful MXit."
Know Your Story And Stick To It
Defense witnesses in Lil Wayne's NY gun possession trail [not to be confused with either his Georgia or Arizona drug possession cases] are not helping his cause. Cops cited weed smoke "billowing" out from Wayne's tour bus as probable cause to pull it over, while Weezy is trying to prove that's a lie, hoping the judge will be forced to toss out the evidence seized inside the vehicle - a .40-caliber handgun that could send F Baby to prison for three years. While Weezy's defense had maintained that there had been no weed at all on the bus, one of Wayne's homies cracked under cross examination yesterday admitting "Uh, I probably brought it on."

Don Cornelius Arrested For Beating His Wife
Don't Look For Terrence Howard In Iron Man II
He lost his role in the sequel to Don Cheadle and the worst part is he claims he didn't even know until he read it in the papers. He told a radio station, "It was the surprise of a lifetime. There was no explanation. [The contract] just…up and vanished. I read something in the trades implicating that it was about money or something, but apparently the contracts that we write and sign aren’t worth the paper that they’re printed on, sometimes. Promises aren’t kept, and good faith negotiations aren’t always held up."
