Las Vegas Cops Want Payback

Last week jurors on the OJ Simpson kidnapping and robbery trial heard a tape recording of police officers who arrived on the crime scene saying, "This is great. ... California can't get him. ... Now we'll be able to." The comments were picked up on a digital recorder that had been secretly placed by star witness for the prosecution, Thomas Riccio, who had arranged the meeting in a hotel room between OJ and two sports memorabilia dealers that escalated into a confrontation.

7 Years For Mark Ingram

Former New York Giants receiver Mark Ingram was sentenced on September 16 to more than seven years in prison for bank fraud and money laundering. It's a third term behind bars for the player who starred in the 1991 Super Bowl.
The 42-year-old Ingram also was ordered in Long Island federal court to pay $252,000 in restitution.
Ingram is best remembered for eluding five tackles to make a key first down during the '91 Super Bowl in which the Giants beat Buffalo. He has been jailed for various crimes since retiring in 1996.

Naomi Campbell kisses her boyfriend Vladimir Doronin after he bought the dress she wore in the White Ribbon Alliance charity auction for $36,000. The charity event, organized by Naomi, campaigns for better care for women in childbirth in developing countries.

Norman Whitfield, who co-wrote a string of Motown classics including War, I Heard It Through the Grapevine, Papa Was a Rolling Stone, Ball of Confusion, Beauty Is Only Skin Deep, Cloud Nine, Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me) and Too Busy Thinking About My Baby, has died. He was 67.

Gary Charged And Sued

Gary Coleman got charged with reckless driving and disorderly conduct for running over a fan earlier this month. Gary got into it with 24 year old Colt Rushton at a Utah bowling alley on September 6 after Colt took Gary's picture after Gary asked him not to. You know what happened next. They argued, it spilled outside and Gary accidentally or not, hit Colt with his truck on his way out the bowling alley parking lot. Colt filed a lawsuit seeking damages for medical bills, pain and suffering, and punitive damages.

Arrest Warrant Issued For Boogie's Mother

A Manhattan judge has issued an arrest warrant for Linda Williams, the mother of Dame Dash’s 16 year old son, Boogie. Damon, who has full legal custody of of Boogie, has not seen him since he went visit his mother several weeks ago.
