Singer Natalie Cole, who recently revealed she had hepatitis C, has been admitted to the hospital after suffering side-effects from her medication and a heavy promotional schedule.
7 Years For Mark Ingram
Former New York Giants receiver Mark Ingram was sentenced on September 16 to more than seven years in prison for bank fraud and money laundering. It's a third term behind bars for the player who starred in the 1991 Super Bowl.
The 42-year-old Ingram also was ordered in Long Island federal court to pay $252,000 in restitution.
Ingram is best remembered for eluding five tackles to make a key first down during the '91 Super Bowl in which the Giants beat Buffalo. He has been jailed for various crimes since retiring in 1996.

R.I.P
Norman Whitfield, who co-wrote a string of Motown classics including War, I Heard It Through the Grapevine, Papa Was a Rolling Stone, Ball of Confusion, Beauty Is Only Skin Deep, Cloud Nine, Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me) and Too Busy Thinking About My Baby, has died. He was 67.
Gary Charged And Sued
Gary Coleman got charged with reckless driving and disorderly conduct for running over a fan earlier this month. Gary got into it with 24 year old Colt Rushton at a Utah bowling alley on September 6 after Colt took Gary's picture after Gary asked him not to. You know what happened next. They argued, it spilled outside and Gary accidentally or not, hit Colt with his truck on his way out the bowling alley parking lot. Colt filed a lawsuit seeking damages for medical bills, pain and suffering, and punitive damages.

Ruling In Levert Wrongful Death Charge
Prosecutors ruled Tuesday that there was no criminal conduct involved in the March death of R&B singer Sean Levert, who was in jail when he became ill. Prosecutor Bill Mason ruled out criminal conduct after his office reviewed an internal investigation conducted by the sheriff's department. Levert's widow, Angela Lowe, filed a federal wrongful death lawsuit in June accusing county jail officials of neglecting his medical needs.
