Illegal Search And Seizure?
Remember last week when Snoop Dogg's tour bus got pulled over for having expired tags, and in the process of writing a ticket cops smelled weed, which they used as probable cause to search the bus where they found 2lbs of weed, which Snoops boy's valiantly took the fall for? Snoop's lawyer says the bus' tags were not expired.
Was There A Shooting Or Not
There was. This past weekend Jermaine Dupri took over Atlanta for his annual So So Def Weekend. The weekend long party hop is a non stop celebration including a celebrity basketball game, a star studded bowling tournament and of course, a bunch of club parties. Anyway, this year, like last year, there was a shooting at one of the clubs, or was there? While various news outlets and pictures from Atlpics.net seemed to support the shooting allegations, at first JD's people released a statement claiming the loud pop heard in the club, that sent celebs like P Diddy, Nia Long, Sanna Lathan, LisaRaye and Da Brat scrambling, was nothing more than a speaker popping or maybe a champagne cork. That explanation, however, did not explain how a bouncer got grazed on the arm by a bullet. JD and 'nem finally had to admit were was indeed a shooting, but that it was an isolated incident. JD told the press, "I'm sad this incident happened because it interrupted a beautiful and loving party. But I'm happy none of my people or friends got hurt. And the party continues."
Bow Wow Says
About his first on-screen sex scene: "I know the girls, they’re going to go crazy when they see it,” he said of his appearance on the HBO series Entourage. “The ladies are gonna go crazy when they see Bow Wow’s first sex scene. It’s crazy ’cause for me, it was normal. It was normal, but I know when I look back at it, when I see it, I’m gonna be like, ‘Damn! Look at this. This is crazy!’ I stun myself sometimes, I can’t even front."
"It was with an adult film star. I don’t know her name,” he said of the actress. “She probably watching this like, ‘What?! I did a scene with him, and he doesn’t remember my name?!’ Nah, I don’t remember her name, but she was bad though. She was baaaaad! I was cool. I was comfortable with it. I was definitely comfortable with it. It is what it is — normal stuff that happens.”

No Pre-Nup
Luther Campbell, who recently married 27 year-old lawyer Kristin Thompson, went on the Howard Stern show yesterday to promote his new VH1 reality show Parental Advisory and let it slip that he got married without a pre-nuptial agreement. Howard told Uncle Luke that he was crazy, but Luke claimed Florida law would protect his assets and that in the event of a break-up, Kristin deserves half of any money they make during their marriage.
According To Page Six
Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin was so messed up at Russell Simmons' Art for Life charity gala, that it took 5 people to help her to her car. Catty spies claim, "She was just oblivious to what was going on."
A Salute To Weed Carriers
After Snoop Dogg's tour bus got pulled over on Interstate 45 in Corsicana, TX for expired tags yesterday, police officers detected the distinct smell of cheba smoke. They searched the bus and found two ounces of weed. Two dudes in Snoop's entourage, Ethan Calhoun, 27, and Kevin Barkey, 26, immediately claimed ownership and were taken into custody. Both posted $1,500.00 bail and were released. Snoop was on board but was not arrested.
Da Brat Got Sony Sued
Louis Vuitton won an undisclosed amount from Sony music on Thursday for allowing their artists to use the LV monogram in music videos and on album covers. The legal battle began after Vuitton sued Sony in 2003 for allowing Da Brat to bounce around a multicolored LV print beachball in her In Love With You video. Also named in the suit: Ruben Studdard for printing his album jacket for "The Return" CD on Louis Vuitton monogram paper and Britney Spears for sporting a Louis Vuitton dash board in a pink Hummer in her "Do Somethin" video.

This Really Ain't None Of Your Business But...
Kanye West's mama's house is going into foreclosure. Remember when they were trying to make Kanye responsible for his mother's mortgage even though his name is not on the paperwork? Well that didn't fly, so now the bank is foreclosing so they can try to sell the crib to re-coup their loss. The bank is asking for $606,983.43 from the late Dr. West’s estate, which was valued at $150,000.00 when she died.
How Does It Feel Drove DeAngelo Crazy
DeAngelo's former manager, Dominique Trenier, told Spin Magazine, “We couldn’t get through one song before women would start to scream for him to take off something. It wasn’t about the music. All they wanted was for him to take off his clothes.”
The cat calls had an undeniable effect on D’Angelo. “He’d get angry and started breaking shxt. The audience thinking, “fxck your art, I wanna see your axx!” made him angry”. For D’Angelo, who, as Trenier puts it, “isn’t a sexy dude” but a “real musician who wears glasses and plays video games,” the objectification appeared to do lasting damage. “I didn’t realize how vulnerable he was or how deep his issues ran. He’s cursed now with fretting over how much of his fan base is because of how he looked as opposed to his music. It took away his confidence, because he’s not convinced why any given fan is supporting him. I feel really guilty, because that was never the intention” Trenier says. “Untitled wasn’t supposed to be his mission statement for Voodoo. I’m glad the video did what it did, but he and I were both disappointed because, to this day, in the general public’s memory, he’s the naked dude.”
