Bishop Sapp sets the record straight...
Marvin Sapp clarifies that the video is over a year old and was not taken at his church but at a national convention and the money being collected was to cover the budget for the event. Bishop Sapp also claims that his church staff are afraid to answer the phones because of the abuse and claims he and his family have been receiving death threats over the video.
Bishop Sapp also apologized for his tone during the offering.

Whoever removed my comment...I said what I said...bye. 👋🏽
Forget death threats. How about they get some sense and leave him and his church alone altogether. Breaking him financially and watching him learn humility is a bigger punishment and a better life lesson for all involved.
Death threats probably coming from family members. My family would go all the way off if we found out our auntie was held hostage by some preacher. Yeah, we'd be on that.
Death threats? From religious church people?
^Yep. When the pastor is holding people hostage.
I don't believe he received any death threats. He's trying to gain sympathy.
Lies! Nobody threatened to kill this man. He is going to extremes trying to save his reputation and to distance himself from embarrassment. He is making it worse. He needs to sit down and shut the F up.
oh well 🤷🏾♀️
I have no empathy for this idiot.
He ruined his own career and his audacity prolly got him threatened -you not locking anything on me. Folks have a right to be outaged
