Over the weekend actress Maia Campbell made her grand return to public life after nearly a decade long hiatus from the spotlight [click here if you missed that].
While checking in with her fans Maia shares that she would like Tyler Perry to produce a film based on her mother, BeBe Moore Campbell's book, "72 Hour Hold," about dealing with an adult child with mental illness...
I wish Maaia all the best And I know her foundation and skills Are in acting But Hollyweird havent changed Nor the casting couch or whatever Games they play But maybe Tyler could give her a hands up Chaka, Melba, Natalie Cole and a few Others had past substance issues And they bounced back quite well Wishing you the best Maaia *Hugs*
@7:16 didn't know about Melba but Natalie had drug-related health issues until the end. Had she lived, Natalie would've been in her mid-70s
Back to topic, TP is hit or miss unless he's working with a writing team. Depending on his mood, he may even add Madea to the storyline. I wouldn't chance him making a quality film about a sensitive subject. Best to Maia.

Tyler screws up everything he touches and Maia's mother was fabulous. Every time I hear of someone with a bipolar child I buy them that book.
