Keri Hilson Gets Emotional Over Beyonce Diss

Back in the early 2000s then budding pop star Keri Hilson famously dissed Beyoncé in a leaked remix for the single, 'Turning Me On,' and then refused to hold a magazine with Beyoncé on the cover, setting off a chain of events that seemingly changed the trajectory of Keri's career [click here if you missed that].

This week Keri tearfully admits producer Polow Da Don forced her to record the diss, that she didn't write, and that she's been protecting the real writer all these years...

I remember when this happened and I was thinking, how you gonna force someone to like someone else? Everybody wasn't drinking the Kool-Aid and some people didn't worship those two Satanists. Keri's music hasn't evolved but she really didn't deserve to get blacklisted because of that one incident.

Anyway, who got the tea? Who was the now famous writer? Ciara? Sza? Hmmmmmm ...

I never understood what this was all about. Now it's so old who cares.

SZA sounds like a possibility. She would have 19 at the time. Kerri was 26... young but not that young.

Another site said it was Ester Dean.

Don’t nobody know an Ester Dean.

Nobody blackballed her! It was a nasty, catty thing to do especially from an artist trying to just come on the scene. Beyoncé didn’t do anything to her for her to publicly come for her and she didn’t tell people not to buy her album. After she said that and showed her character people saw a mean girl and nobody in the industry with a name wants to work with a mean girl. She lost numerous Beyonce and Ciara fans because of that and couldn’t do real numbers in album sells and no label is going to use money on an artist that can’t bring them any. I’m pretty sure lots of artists don’t like Beyoncé and she them but they (including Beyonce) know not to speak on it publicly.

She still ain’t taking accountability. Explain why you didn’t wanna hold the magazine cover up with Bey on it! Cause ain’t nobody forced her to do nothing that she didn’t wanna already do.

8:58-Ester Dean admitted she wrote the song. Ester Dean wrote a crap load of songs for other artists, mostly for Rihanna.
You young asf if you don't know who Ester Dean is.

9:24- Maybe Kerri didn't wanna promote Beyonce in any capacity especially on a mag cover. Everybody don't gotta be up Bey's butt crack like y'all are.

If she doesn’t like her, then she doesn’t like her. She’s entitled to not like Beyoncé but stand ten toes down and don’t apologize whatsoever, go make music and put it out and hopefully your fans will support you and not just with their well wishes and comments.

Everyone in the world don’t have to bow down to beYAWNce that’s for her FLEA HIVE to do. I’ve always been TeamKeri in this situation. BeYAWNce has ruined a lot of careers & stolen a lot of music/dance moves to get to where she is. Her fall is coming & when it does it’s coming fast & it’s coming hard .. I just hope it’s coming SOON!

The comments sound like you didn't listen to her interview or you just don't want to acknowledge she was forced into making the song by the producer. That's who you should be mad at. Don't let toxic men get away with being shady.

Instead of the focus being on what she has coming up it's on long ago negativity. So sad
