I am 70yo & I remember how much easier it was to navigate in this world, when you could honestly say what you mean, without worry to be "Politically Correct", while speaking... Trying Not To Offend All These Different Groups Of People Is A Job...
^^^Some things aren't offensive at the time they're said, though. With time, terms get a negative connotation and the consensus is that the word should never be used. For example, my great-grandma used the term 'colored'. My grandma 'negro' but my parents 'Black'. Even 'retarded' was a clinical term until folks started using it as an insult. There will always be something new to be offended by. Now I hear kids insult each other by saying things like "you must be on the spectrum". With time, that phrase will become offensive, too.

She was quoting him. Was she supposed to say What in the BLEEP instead?
Welp. Hopefully the Oprah effect is stronger than the alphabet mafia's outrage. Even a quote or "joke" could get someone lit up these days.
Yep. Just like we would get lit if someone who wasn’t Black had quoted a joke on us.
Dang G. My boy gay.
I like when people are honest and speak their mind. This made me like Gayle more…
Okay Wig. Was it necessary to repeat. I need more of the conversation to get the understanding of the comment.

3:09 If after 70 years, you still don't know how to speak with decency and respect for others, then just stay home.
^^^ True that, but Initial Caps is as bad as All Caps. Ion't know why you even read their words let alone respond to them.
^What in the world are you going on about? Caps ain't on here!
