The Diddy jury will be able to view the video of the disgraced rap mogul beating up ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, the judge in the case has ruled in a hearing today.
The damning evidence is a big blow for Diddy, even as his lawyers have claimed that the security video of him violently assaulting his former girlfriend Cassie in a Ventura Los Angeles hotel hallway was 'edited' and 'manipulated.'
It was also revealed today that Diddy plans to argue he was a ‘swinger’ and did nothing wrong during his six parties, his lawyer said.
Marc Agnifilo said that the disgraced hip hop mogul will claim that he was part of a ‘lifestyle’, a reference to the term swingers use to describe having group six.
While Diddy thought his behavior - which prosecutors have called drug-fuelled and abusive 'Freak Offs' - was ‘appropriate’ others may not have done so, Agnifilo said.
The comments came after a judge ruled that the jury will get to see the damning video of Diddy beating up his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
Judge Arun Subramanian told Manhattan’s federal court that the footage was admissible because prosecutors planned to provide two witnesses who will say it accurately depicts events.
The video shows Diddy beating Ventura at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles in 2016 and was one of the key factors in his downfall.
It was aired by CNN in May 2024 and days later the disgraced hip hop mogul apologized publicly, posting on Instagram that he took ‘full responsibility’.
Diddy was arrested four months later and his lawyers have repeatedly attacked the video’s credibility, at one point demanding a hearing to ascertain whether it can be used during the trial.
Diddy, 55, whose real name is Sean Combs, is due to go on trial on May 5th, for six trafficking.
He denies the allegations.

He was dumb for denying that the video was real but what does whooping on her have to do with RICO and trafficking? What's the direct correlation? Seems like they're trying to build on a case on his reputation and nasty behavior instead of an actual crime. But we shall see. May 5th is right around the corner.

The tape establishes that he is a man comfortable with abusing women. Dozens of women will be testifying that they were drugged without their consent and abused just like Cassie.
It establishes a pattern or penchant for certain behaviors but testimony isn't exactly proof. And this is a federal case so the burden of proof should be met with providing more than just words to a jury. He's a vile, deranged, mean, narcissistic deviant and deserves all the smoke but they better be glad I'm not on that jury because I'd need to see some evidence.

My life is too busy to read an indictment on a man that doesn’t pay my bills (so don’t come for me like y’all did 1:19), but what other evidence do they have besides this video, baby oil, and a bunch of accusers (he say/she say) coming forward from decades ago?
I feel like he’s going to get time served for the abuse and walk unless there’s more evidence. And I also think he knew his time was coming because he was changing his image right before Cassie popped the lid off Pandora’s box. Now it all makes sense. He was still acting like a devil even after Kim died then all of a sudden he’s calling himself love, his album love, speaking on god, and now this. The timing is too in sync. I guess we will see.

1:19 is right. They just want to use the video to influence the jury. This is a hit job on Diddy plain and simple. However, I have no sympathy for that devil, so let him burn.
So the prosecution can present the video of the Cassie assault, something he is not on trial for, but has requested the judge to not allow the defense to name high profile entertainers that has in the past and currently have swinger parties with escorts… something that Diddy is on trial for. Makes sense.
