Nelly is now in the clear for the $50 million lawsuit that St. Lunatics rapper Ali filed on behalf of the group.
Billboard reports that Ali moved to drop the lawsuit on Apr. 10 — but Nelly’s legal team is requesting for the judge not to fully dismiss the case yet because they could sue Ali for the “frivolous” lawsuit.
“Plaintiff’s counsel succeeded in its frivolous campaign aimed at forcing [Nelly] to spend money defending Plaintiff’s ridiculous time-barred claim,” wrote Nelly’s legal team. “The Court is respectfully requested to retain jurisdiction and set a briefing and hearing schedule for [potential sanctions].”

Ali has not liked Nelly for decades. You can see his salty looks in youtube videos in the early 2000s. He would get tight when Murphy Lee expressed his thanks to Nelly. He would jump in front of the camera and big himself up. Now he and his multiple personalities are on message boards acting a fool. If you know, you now. SMDH!
Why is Ali so quiet?
Loony Lunatic Ali could have made some good money on tour with Nelly in 2025. He could have created generational wealth. If he is such a good writer, he could have worked on a brand new album with Nelly & the St Lunatics.
