She's an abusive groomer who abandoned her child to chase after D'Angelo and raise her baby with him.

Really 9:52AM??? πŸ˜• I disagree w/you; how did Angie abandon Diamond when she was raised by her mother? Wasn't she about grown anyway when Michael Jr came along? Diamond had been blaming her mother for years cause Angie was out working & I think in that fight Angie finally snapped. IMO, Diamond came off as immature & unfair. Now it's HER time to step up & take care of the family; get the money that was due to her mom from Universal. She was so critical of her mom; well babygirl, it's YOUR time to take the baton. Maybe she'll understand more of the struggles that her mom went through.

Some of these "celebs" can miss me w/these tributes. Unless they'll step in & help Angie's family & if they really were about it, help the family get her money from Universal that was due her, then they're just fakin' da funk.

I didn't always agree w/how Angie did things & what she said, but I feel a lot of compassion for her. In 1 of her last lives, she was talking about how she felt Universal stole her money (allegedly). Said she should have been able to retire 20 yrs ago. She had health issues but had to still perform to support her family. She was tired. Said she had to do this cause her children's fathers didn't support them like that should have. I hope Diamond blamed her Dad just as much as she blamed Angie.

Angie and Guru sounded good together. I've never seen that clip. What a treat. RIP.

This almost reminds me of when Left Eye's death 23 years ago how she was the only 1 who died in a car crash while in Honduras.
Rest In Heaven, Angie Stone.

Mahagony Soul got me through a rough period. I resisted it when I first heard it because she stepped on everybody from the 60s and 70s from Mayfield to the Ojays.... BUT, she brought it right. Every one of the songs on that album still stands up to par today....

Hope it was quick and not painful. RIP, sis.
