Last week at the NFL combine top prospect, Sheduer Sanders, went viral after warning NFL team owners not to draft him if they don't want their program changed [click here if you missed that].
Now insiders claim Sheduer's bold declaration is rubbing some owners the wrong way...
From The NY Post
Shedeur Sanders considers himself a program changer.
And that apparently turned off some NFL teams.
NFL Network insider Peter Schrager revealed that Sanders — the son of Colorado coach and NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders — irked some franchises with those remarks during the combine.
“His point at the combine, and it rubbed people wrong, the way he had some bravado at it, is that he changes places when he gets there,” Schrager said on the “Bill Simmons Podcast” on Tuesday. “So Jackson State, obviously, went from this HBCU that had no resources to suddenly being a national name. And then he goes to Colorado and we had one week where ‘Big Noon Kickoff’ from Fox and ‘GameDay’ were there, Week 2, vying for real estate in Boulder. It happens.
“Shedeur has never wavered that he’s a leader and those guys do respect him.”
Sanders has come under the microscope leading into this year’s draft, where he’s hoping to be a top selection and possibly even No. 1.
The combine provided an opportunity for Sanders to meet with teams and also answer reporters’ questions.
He displayed an unwavering confidence that he expects he will galvanize his next team.
That those remarks did not land with some teams come as multiple unflattering reports emerged in recent days regarding Sanders’ demeanor during the combine.
Veteran NFL reporter Josina Anderson said a quarterbacks coach from a team drafting in the first seven slots said Sanders came across “brash” and “arrogant.”
The “brash” and “arrogant” accusations carried a little different weight when NBC fantasy football expert Matthew Berry reported similar sentiments from two individuals from two different teams.
“They both said it was a bad meeting and that he came off as unprofessional and disinterested,” Berry wrote Tuesday. “Both also said that after the meeting they had a lesser opinion of him than prior. These same people both met with (Miami quarterback) Cam Ward as well, and both said they loved Ward, and it was a great meeting.
“When talking about the projected top two QB picks this year, every team I spoke to loves Ward. And I didn’t hear a ton of positive about Sanders.”

Of course it is. Nobody wants some young dude talking smack with or without a track record. Yea daddy needs to have a talk with you young man. You'll be a bench warmer at best. That's if you get signed.
@ The End of The Day, All That Matters Is The $. If He Is 'Marketable'($ Can Be Made Off Of Him), They Will Take Him.
We’ll see on draft day.
Young and dumb and full of ….
She’ll be coming round the mountain when she comes she’ll be coming round the mountain when she comes, she’ll be coming round the mountain. She’ll be coming round the mountain to be coming around the mountain when she comes. Yeah. Full of that.
A lil humility goes a long way
BEING A COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYER, SHEDUER SANDERS HASN'T MADE THE NAME FOR HIMSELF THAT HE THINKS HE HAS. HE'S TOO BUSY LIVING OFF OF HIS DAD'S ALREADY ESTABLISHED FEAT IN PROFESSIONAL SPORTS, WHICH IS HIS DAD'S STAR POWER-NOT SHEDUER'S OR HIS BROTHER SHILO SANDERS.
HE HASN'T PROVEN NOTHING YET, BUT IS QUICK TO TALK THAT SHI- LIKE HE GOT IT LIKE THAT.
IT'S ABOUT TO BE VERY CLEAR TO THESE YOUNG BLACK PLAYERS THAT THEIR CIVIL RIGHTS PRIVILEGES IS VERY NEARLY NON0EXISTENT & AIN'T WHAT THEY WERE WHEN THE BLACK ATHLETES OF MY/OUR TIME WAS WITH THESE NFL OWNERS.
THEY WILL MORE PRONOUNCEDLY BE THOUGHT OF & TREATED MORE AS PROPERTY, & WITHOUT CERTAIN CIVIL RIGHTS PROTECTIONS THERE IS VERY LITTLE IF ANYTHING THEY'LL BE ABLE TO DO ABOUT IT.
THE WAY THE OWNERS FEEL, 'THEY NEED US-WE DON'T NECESSARILY NEED THEM. THUS, WE WON'T PAY THEM THEIR WORTH OR TELL THEM HOW GOOD THEY ARE IN PUBLIC'.
THE OWNERS HAVE A POINT TO PROVE AS WELL.
I WATCH ALOT OF SPORTS.. & SPORTS SHOWS (PEOPLE NEED TO WATCH HBO'S BALLERS" TO GET A FEEL ON HOW THE NFL OWNERS APPROACHED THESE MATTERS.).
He said what he said. If you the type of owner who runs a plantation he said don't pick me.
Then he won't get picked" b/c all the owners are plantation owners!
He'll go unpicked and be wondering 'why'!
I agree with most of what 6:40 said. Shedeur hasn't done anything on his own yet and he's already starting off with an unacceptable attitude that the owners will make him pay for by not picking him in the first two rounds of the Draft.
He's putting his own foot in his mouth before his career even gets started!
6:58 this!
It’s 2025. Black people in general need to stop with this head low, eyes low, yessa massa mentality. So what if he’s confident. Go to a PWI and you’ll see white cocky azz pricks all day long and no one says nothing to them. However when a black man exudes confidence he’s told he’s too cocky and needs to pipe down. That’s why today’s black men are soft while cocky white men are running our country into the ground. Let that young fine man talk his ish as long as he can back it up.
^That's not "confidence" he's spewing it's ignorance because he doesn't know his audience having only played in high school and college where that type of "confidence" he could and probably had gotten away with prior!
He doesn't know he's talking to owners in the NFL BIG LEAGUES who Will NOT Tolerate his brand of self-adoration! He needs to practice self-humility before he find himself humiliated come the Draft in June!
6:40 and 8:14 are right. Only those who know sports and how it is in the NFL, which is nothing like the NBA, are aware of how the owners view the potential players.
Sheduer hasn't proven himself yet and has no championships to back up his talk. But you'd have to have been a sports fan to know this though!
Who cares if some red face pink skin racists are mad at what Shadeur said. He is a top QB prospect and any goal chaser knows confidence is key to success!
Folks thought Floyd Mayweather Jr was too cocky, and arrogant as well, but the brother retired undefeated. Wishing Shadeur nothing but the best on his journey 💫
Two different sports not the same is expected of by the prospects. Mayweather proven and made a name for himself aside from his own dad by proving what he's capable of in the ring. SS hasn't done that yet and boxing being a 1 Man sport, Floyd don't have to det along with his non-existent teammates, but SS will have to in team sports, which will be what owners a well as coaching stff for each team will be looking at before the Draft.
But 1 who follows sports would already know this that's why SS is being criticized by those who know sports.
The common demoninator in all sports is jhew ownership. Nothing wrong with being confident but he better hope he's a third of the player his dad was in ice hockey or the players and coaches will be waiting to teach him a lesson
I love it. Confidence is exactly what we need, it’s what he has and it’s what scares them the most. His confidence scares the coons, too. Love this.

Ice hockey ?????????????????????? LOLO
Perfect ones confidence AFTER You've proven something to have a pronounced sense of confidence about!
@9:06
Thats such a dumb statement!!! What do you mean who cares?? H e needs to care!!! cause those red faced dudes are the ones that will be doing the drafting!!!
so it doesn't matter that he's a top prospect if none of them pick him!!!
^That Part.
