Plies Drops Copyright Lawsuit Against Cardi B Glorilla Megan Thee Stallion and Soulja Boy

Last year rapper Plies filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against rappers Cardi B, Glorilla, Megan Thee Stallion and Soulja Boy accusing them of sampling is 2008 track, 'Me and My Goons," without permission [click here if you missed that].

Plies has decided to drop the suit...

From Baller Alert
Plies has officially withdrawn his copyright infringement lawsuit against Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, Cardi B, and Soulja Boy.
The lawsuit, which was originally filed last November, accused the artists of sampling his song “Me and My Goons” without permission in GloRilla’s track “Wanna Be.”
On Friday, Plies voluntarily dismissed the case without prejudice, meaning he could potentially refile it in the future. However, it’s unclear if he reached a private settlement with the artists or simply decided to walk away from the legal battle.

Maybe they paid him ppl need to go through the proper clearance and pay people ! First you ask if you can use the song or best then you begin to negotiate payment ! It’s only right it’s crazy how folks will steal from other black ppl then get mad when they get called out or sued!
