No Money Exchanged in Drake iHeartMedia Settlement

This week it was reported that Drake and iHeartMedia reached a settlement after Drake accused iHeart of accepting payola to boost the popularity of Kendrick Lamar's Drake diss track, Not Like Us,  in a pre-action filing [click here if you missed that].

iHeartMedia asserts that no money was exchanged...

From XXL
On Monday (March 3), Rolling Stone reported iHeartMedia is no longer a defendant in Drake's probe into alleged payola in connection to Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us."
"In exchange for documents that showed iHeart did nothing wrong, Drake agreed to drop his petition. No payments were made—by either one of us," a source at iHeartMedia tells Rolling Stone.

Why am I not believing the report? If it was just a probe then how did they agree to a settlement? A settlement and probe are not the same thing. You would not say settlement if the findings were just a petition or discovery. We will never know the truth. In other reports they say there was a settlement but now they are saying there was an agreement. Interesting.

Settlements do not have to be financial. And Drake might have just loss.

THIS APPEARS TO HAD BEEN A WASTE OF BOTH DRAKE & I HEART MEDIA'S TIME & $$$$ TOWARD LEGAL FEES.
