Two weeks ago former En Vogue singer Dawn Robinson announced she had been living in her car for the past three years [click here if you missed that].
In a new statement Dawn assures her fans that she chose car life voluntarily and warns against donating to fake Dawn Robinson fundraisers...
From People
"Sometimes in life, we end up in situations that we weren’t expecting," said Robinson. "There’s something we need to learn or teach, but we’re too afraid to push ourselves out of our comfort zones to do it —so the universe does it for us! During this growth period, we either learn to trust ourselves or give in to fear and fail."
She then spoke about wanting to clarify some takeaways from her video: "I want to make it clear: I am not homeless. I am temporarily choosing car life as part of my journey of healing and self-discovery."
"I took a risk and jumped headfirst into this lifestyle, and WOW, what a crazy, fun, sometimes scary ride it’s been," continued Robinson's statement. "For me, failure is NOT an option. Being vulnerable sucks, but here I GROW. This is about embracing freedom, trusting the process, and finding strength in the unexpected."
The "Free Your Mind" singer also issued a warning to fans looking to support her. "I’ve been made aware that some individuals may be requesting funds on my behalf through platforms like Cash App, GoFundMe or other means," she said. "I want to be clear: I have not authorized any fundraising campaigns, and I do not want anyone—especially my loyal fans—to be scammed or taken advantage of."
Robinson concluded, "Your love and support mean the world to me, and I want to ensure that your kindness is not misused. Please be cautious and do not send money to anyone claiming to act on my behalf."

I thought she stated that in the original video but people were too ignorant to actually comprehend and jumped to false conclusions. Reading AND listening are Fundamental.
Her audience paid attention to her non verbal communication. If she wants to get into the motivational speaking space, she will eventually learn that her audience will pay attention to what they see more than what they hear.
Exactly, she said she loves her freedom and car life. And ppl went Bazookas!

If you don't have a set of your own keys with a signed document that says you live there then your homeless.
Now I want to know who are you paying for that press and curl? LOLO
^^ Not really. She could live with a relative w/o a lease.
7:39 stop it. You got me crying ova here about that press and curl.😂😂
JMO but I believe this is about Dawn getting a reality show. Back when she was married to that Andre dude, they were trying to create their own footage but there were no takers. They were living out of an RV and he was trying to sell his CDs on the street for gas money. Dawn got back with EnVogue for a second and they eventually divorced.
Since then, the cost of living has doubled and if she chose to not get a regular job or work behind the scenes (which is supposedly where the real money is in entertainment), that's on her. Not a recommended choice for any Gen-Xer or baby boomer but either way, when a person confesses this on social media, people are gonna draw their own conclusion.
She needs a reality show and to spill the beans on the dark side of show bizness.

If her name is not on the lease or any documents dwelling that says she lives, there then she's homeless.
^ by your definition not the standard one
She’ll be alright
I wonder if she ever turned down any marriage proposals. Stevie
