The lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jay-Z over the alleged rxpe of a 13-year-old girl in 2000 has been dismissed by the attorney representing the Jane Doe, according to a court filing made on Friday in New York.
The voluntary dismissal, reviewed by Variety, was filed by attorneys Tony Buzbee and Antigone Curis, claiming that the Jane Doe who accused the musicians of sixual assault “hereby gives notice that the above-captioned Action is voluntarily dismissed, with prejudice.” Because it was dismissed with prejudice, the suit cannot be refiled as it is in its present form.

"Dismissed with prejudice" is the key phrase. Means the accuser can never file again. Usually that means a settlement took place. This is what ALL lawyers want.

This was never a actual case-just an accusation against Puff and JayZ. A judge was bound to dismiss it upon its arrival in their courtroom!

Again the last docment dropped charges against Bad Boy Records and not Jay Z. This one dropped it against Puff and Jay Z. Reading comprehension is important. If the last document said the charges against Jay Z was dropped this would be a redundant document. This is actually new information.

IF it was settled it would say settled, and with NY law as some one mentioned, we would be able to see settled even if it was a private settlement, the filed case would still reflect that. The amount would be redacted but we would see everything else otherwise.
So... NO money was exchanged "legally". Now off the books who knows. But the way Jay bragging and going in on this lawyer I would say the case fell apart. Since Buzbee who loves attention not gloating and showboating I would say his pride hurt, and now he about to leave Jay alone but go harder on the one he already got in jail and that's Diddy. 💯Now I wonder if that alleged victim is stuck with legal costs or Buzbee did it for the clout that didn't work out.
