Another bizz-ness and invention taken over by another group of ppl. Chinese in NY. Last person I knew had a dry cleaners was George Jefferson. I'm moving on up. Lolo another good one RWS We have lost a lot of clout from the early days of the struggle. DEI is in full effect.
In Detroit we had black owned dry cleaners, toy stores, grocery stores, newspapers, insurance companies, boarding houses, hotels. These are facts they don't want in our history books.
In the neighborhood I grew up in the only things we didn't own were the meat markets, jewelry stores, chinese restaurants.
Detroit was doing okay till they flooded our communities with heroine, cocaine and guns.
I APPRECIATE THIS FEATURE. MY GRANDPOPS & GRANDMOTHER OWNED A LAUNDROMAT & DRY CLEANERS ALONG WITH A NIGHTCLUB & SMALL TAXI SERVICE ONCE UPON A TIME UP NORTH. TIMES ARE DIFFERENT NOW. THANKS FOR THIS ONE TOO, SNITCH.
