Meghan Markle has decided to postpone the release date of her new Netflix series With Love, Meghan, as wildfires continue to devastate her hometown of Los Angeles.
At the request of Meghan, and with the full support of Netflix, the release of the series — a heartfelt tribute to the beauty of Southern California — has been moved from its previously announced Jan. 15 premiere date to March 4, due to the ongoing devastation caused by the Los Angeles wildfires.
“I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California,” Meghan said in a statement on Sunday, Jan. 12.
California is especially meaningful to the Duchess of Sussex, 43. She now resides in Montecito with her husband, Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, but she was also born and raised in Los Angeles. Her new series, With Love, Meghan, includes thoughtful nods to her home state and her strong connection to it.

I'm not at all surprised. There's so much going on in Southern Cal right now, & this was planned long before the windstorms caused the fires in the L.A. area.
Something tells me she & Netflix will be alright though whether it airs or not.

I thought she should've canceled it after all the backlash. This makes sense.
After they found out she went down there for a photo op, faked the photos with an assistant and only there for 17 minutes. Yeah there was backlash. And people were already trashing her for stealing the idea for other cooks including the other black royal.
The mayor of Pasadena made a fool of himself letting them tour homes that the devastated owners haven't even been able to see just because they are celebrities.
Touring other people's misery for a picture and makeshift photo op for 17 minutes is GHOULISH. Netflix made the right decision. They need some time for the public to forget this stupid PR stunt. He's no longer a working royal, now just a private citizen, so this looks bad when you just show up staging PR pictures among other people's misery. Meghan and Harry need new advisors because the ones they have now out here making them look stupid. She's going to mess around and Netflix going to do them like Spotify and be out of yet another job.
