When the choice came to Love Songs or Love Letters, Rihanna let out a big sign and said, "Never make me a love song. That is corny. Trust me...I've seen it."
Still Rihanna makes reference to her 13-year-old single, "Birthday Cake ft. Chris Brown [click here if you missed that]," in her caption.

I don't know. I don't think 'Residuals' is about Rihanna. They broke up for the last time over 10 years ago. And he knows who's getting his residuals when it comes to Rihanna, lol. But on another note, I forgot about that Birthday Cake song. That was fire back in the day.

9:00 I agree. Drake is the cornball she's referring to. He has been making cringy references about her in his songs for yearsss. She has made shady comments about him in interviews yet I can't recall her uttering a bad word about Chris. She's even gone as far as saying she'd probably always have love for Chris.
