From Hollywood Reporter
Kendrick Lamar’s diss track turned chart-topping hit “Not Like Us” has hit 1 billion streams on Spotify.
The critically acclaimed song, released amid an ongoing feud with rapper Drake, is the latest to join Spotify’s Billions Club, which marks the milestone of surpassing 1 billion streams on the service. Other members of the exclusive club include The Weeknd, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish and Tyler the Creator.
Lamar’s “Not Like Us” is one of several diss tracks the rapper released against the Certified Lover Boy artist. Lamar dropped “euphoria” a few days before another track “meet the grahams,” which was released the day before “Not Like Us.”
The song was one of 2024’s biggest hits, spending two weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 and 20 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot Rap Songs chart. The song is nominated for five Grammy Awards, including song and record of the year. It transcended a simple diss track, becoming an international and cultural anthem.

Of course it did. Black people love toxicity. Had a white man made that song it would be an uproar!
stay mad lol
Is Drake playing at the inauguration? He'd fit right in.
I have a deep respect for K Dot, he really did a masterclass on Aubrey
Way too much hype over this song.
For anybody who’s hating on this song “Ayy, Mustard on the beat, ho”
Waaay too hyped.
Hatred in the hood wins again.
KDot be winning. Mustard!
I've only heard the song once but I'm proud of K-Dot!
okay payola worked
Mustaaaaaaaard!
So what? Streaming is bullsh!t.
Honestly, I aint mad at Kendrick. Yall were ok with a guy that's half Jewish, grew up in the suburbs, fairly affluent calling us the N word and hoes like we cool. Like he dark skinned and named James. It's so cringe.
And I know someone who played it a million times they damn self. Any idea who that was Snitch?
👀👀
I don't use Spotify but i illegally downloaded it and play it often.
Drake is the first rapper in 2024 to sell over 5 million album units in the United States. No other rapper has sold more than 3.5 million album units this year.

These are albums, not streaming. There aren’t enough black people to even make Kendrick sell ACTUAL cds to outsell Drake. Drake just accomplished another feat as of 01/2025 selling 170 million albums worldwide.
That means nonblack people actually support Drake and just are not into Kendrick like that.
If Kendrick can catch up to Drake in album sales, I’d take him seriously. Until then, he’s just like any other rapper with one bop that is over hyped.
Quality, not quantity.
But will he perform it at the Super Bowl? I think all of these Drake law suits are just to stop large platforms and agencies from giving the song attention. He wants them to think they will get sued if they play it. He is banking on the NFL not wanting to deal with that drama.
