Jay Z Calls Out Tony Buzbee Over Shoddy Case

Three weeks ago Jay Z filed a motion demanding sanctions against attorney Tony Buzbee after his client gave a prime time interview, filled with disproven claims, about the night she was allegedly assaulted by Bad Boy Entertainment CEO, Sean 'Diddy' Combs, and Jay Z, more than two decades ago at an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty [click here if you missed that].

Jay is doubling down on his demands, accusing Buzbee of not even meeting with the client before she gave her headline grabbing interview...

From TMZ
Jay-Z's increasing his calls for a court to sanction Tony Buzbee -- the lawyer representing numerous people accusing Diddy of a variety of sixual misdeeds -- with Jay's side blasting him for not even meeting with his client before he filed the complaint.
The rapper's new legal docs in support of his motion were filed earlier this month asking for sanctions against Buzbee ... and, in it, Jay's team points out that Tony now admits he never met with the Jane Doe suing him before he signed off on the complaint.
Although Buzbee insists the case was appropriately vetted, Jay's lawyers are hammering him for never actually meeting the Jane Doe before it was filed -- which Jay and his side see as a huge lapse in his ethical responsibility.
As you know ... Buzbee's working with a ton of different clients right now, so it's not totally shocking he hadn't met this particular Jane Doe before -- but, he's still catching flak over it from Jay's side.
Jay-Z's team wants the court to sanction Buzbee, claiming he didn't do the bare minimum to investigate his client's claims before she gave a now-infamous NBC interview.
Not long after the interview aired, the subject of it admitted there were certain "mistakes" she made while recounting her story.

SHAWN COREY CARTER HAS A POINT.

It ain't his business how the lawyers deals with his own clients. Sounds like a deflection to me.

It IS his business b/c he's a Target w/o Buzbee doing any kinda investigation in the accusations against the potential defendants.
Do ppl not know how to use their brains anymore when reading?

Jay-Z just attempting to try his case in public, hoping to sway what happens in the courtroom. That's what money will let you do.

jay can't bully Buzbee nor get it THROWN OUT . look at God the real Jehova

Jay Z is trying to protect himself and if Buzbee took on cases without interviewing or checking out to see if the accusations held supportive evidence, which sounds like what he may've done, he could be disbarred!

12:06, his business is to explain how he's allegedly not guilty - not how the opposing lawyer does his job.

All those years kissing yt JEW azz just to be taken down by a country bumpkin from Texas. YEEHAW

WRONG, 1:05 PM!
JayZ's "BUSINESS" IS TO PROVE THAT THE CREDIBILITY OF HIS OPPONENTS CANNOT BE SUBMISSIVE.
LAWYERS CANNOT FILE COMPLAINTS WITHOUT PROPER DUE PROCESS, VETTING THE POTENTIAL CLIENT TO ENSURE THAT YOUR FIRM ISN'T FILING AND MAKING FALSE ACCUSATIONS AGAINST A POTENTIAL DEFENDANT.
BUZBEE COULD LOSE HIS LICENSE AND GET DISBARRED IF FOUND GUILTY/LIBEL

ummm lawyers have something called....staff. Paralegals, secretaries, investigators, etc. His argument seems weak af.

YEAH, I KNOW. I'M ONE OF THEM FOR ANOTHER LAW FIRM. BUT, STILL THE FIRM IS HIS RESPONSIBILITY. NONE OF HIS STAFF WILL SUFFER LOSING THEIR NON-EXISTENT LAW LICENSE NOR WILL THEY BE DISBARRED. ONLY THE PERSON WHO REPS A UNVETTED CLIENT WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF THE CLAIMS AGAINST A PERSON IS UNTRUE.
JEEZ... YOU COULD LEARN WHAT I JUST INFORMED YOU IN CIVICS COURSES IN HIGH SCHOOL. HOW COME YOU AREN'T AWARE OF THIS, DID YOU NOT FINISH HIGH SCHOOL?

1:20- An astute attorney still has to do his or her own "investigation" on their targets to ensure they have an airtight case.

@12:42, It looks like Buzbee thought he'd bully Jay Z with this case in order to get it settled w/o going to court and it didn't work!
Keep Fighting, Shawn!

Nobody likes a lawyer who does a half a$$ job!

@1:52 he alleges he did. Looks like not many ppl have read the actual case files, incl me.

& That's gonna be what gets Buzbee in trouble possibly disbarred if he in fact didn't do his own due diligence. In school they teach you not to trust anyone else's information accept your own.
Buzbee must've skipped that class when it was being taught.

Jay's ppl in here arguing against the lawyer lmao... Buzbee been practing law for decades, and is Trump's attorney. Just say YOU DIDN'T DO IT SHAWN CARTER

Buzbee been practicing the law Erroneously if he's taking cases and not doing his due diligence in ensuring he has an airtight case against his opponents.
How many cases has he won? Lost?
Oh, yeah, he likes to file complaints against persons with money so that they can settle the complaint financially before it reaches the courts. It didn't work this time though.

The evidence will come out at trial

Smh Jay Z and his attorneys bank on the General Public not doing an ounce of their own reading or investigation or even remember headlines from weeks or months ago when Buzz beeper announced that he was bringing these lawsuits, he specifically said in his press conference that he was hiring multiple people to help him because he had a overwhelming number of people contacting him He said he was going to bring on more attorneys and investigators all types of stuff. More staff attorney don’t sit around all day doing their own work unless they are very small practice. When you have this many people contacting you you have to delegate task to other people. It is what it is. I find it funny that Jay Z is not asking to be removed from the lawsuit before the entire lawsuit, which includes Pdiddy to be thrown out as well sounds like Jay Z is using his attorneys to help defend P Diddy as well
