Don’t see this much. Nice parenting , Boris and Nicole! 🌹

Her high thigh exposed is not debutante ball appropriate. Her pose in that dress was stank. Debutante ball used to include training on how to exude class.

Why is this even a thing? The pose with the thigh high split..no so much a good look, however as long as this has been a thing, the majority..has no class, and that's a fact!

Point is she will be married off richly ever after.

I think her dress was nice and I rather see a thigh and no cleavage.

Brown paper bags come to mind.

Yes, this is some colorism ish. No one in that 2nd pic is even tan. To hell w/this.

Alrighty then. I wasn't feeling the high cut of the dress either.

@ 12:30PM I meant the pic with all the girls.

I think 12:30 pm was referring to 12:15 pm's 'brown bag' comment.

Never known too many debs that weren't closet hoes. Sooooo!!! Maybe in their circle it is a big deal, congrats, but it really says nothing.

9:12 AM...True that.

I was in an all-Black Debutantes ball. We had fun. I was sharp too. LOLO
Their daughter is a thick girl. Not paper thin like her mama used to be.
I loved watching Boris and Nicole in the TV series Soul Food. I think that's how they met.

Have you all have no culture/clue? Debs wear all white. The French would never allow a Black woman to be presented to society in their space. She was just a spectator or a friend/guest.

FOR MANY DECADES, THE FRENCH HAS BEEN WAY MORE SUPPORTIVE OF PEOPLE OF COLOR THAN THAT OF THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE HAS.
TRUST, THE FRENCH DON'T HAVE THE RACIST BIASES THAT AMERICANS & OTHER COUNTRIES HAVE TOWARDS PEOPLE OF COLOR.
PROBABLY DUE TO THE CONTINENT OF AFRICA BEING SO CLOSE TO FRANCE & OTHER SURROUNDING COUNTRIES.

1) her pose is tacky for a debutante ball.
2) her parents couldn’t put her in a debutante ball with girls that look like her? I’d never make my kids the token in the room.
3) she has grown to be a beautiful young lady.

WHAT MAKES YOU THINK SHE'S NOT AMONG PEOPLE WHO RESEMBLE HER?
PARIS FRANCE HAVE MORE PEOPLE OF COLOR/BLACK FOLKS IN THEIR CITY THAN PEOPLE, USUALLY AMERICANS, THINK.

2:59 I enjoyed it too.

9:45 Debutantes in the South are also Black. Some have French lineage too. We don’t care how they feel in France. We enjoyed being presented and formally accepted as proper Ladies in our community.

My niece will be debuted in two more years time. I can not wait.

That slit is improper and so was the young lady with the corset top to her gown. It’s tacky to have it tied in the front instead of the back.
