Her mother is white. In all fairness, she might not have grown up with this song being played at every family function the way that "we" did.
That woman has 20 kids, and came from a white woman (who I’ve only seen sing gospel so far). Not only did she grow up not doing the electric slide to Can’t Let Go, it probably wasn’t played in the house lol
Then she’s caring for a childcare house full of kids, so she probably didn’t have time, or was too tired to start her assignment of learning the lyrics. 😩😩😩

NOW, MY OPINION ON THIS STORY IS THAT KE KE WYATT'S AN AMAZING SINGER & CAN BELT OUT THE GREATEST OF TUNES WITH SOME OF THE BEST.
HOWEVER, IT APPEARED SHE TRIED TO DO SOMETHING SPECTACULAR WITH THE SONG & LET HER OWN TAKE ON THE SONG GET AWAY FROM HER.
I'M NOT SURE WHY SHE DIDN'T LEARN THE SONG PROPERLY BEFOREHAND, THOUGH.
I LISTENED TO HER DO SOME OF THE BEST RENDTIONS OF RIHANNA'S "DIAMONDS" &"TENNESSEE WHISKEY" , SO HER SINGING SKILLS ARE VERIFIED.
SHE TRIED TO DO TOO MUCH, I GUESS. MAYBE SHE SHOULD'VE BEEN GIVEN ANOTHER FRANKIE BEVERLY SONG TO SING AS A TRIBUTE.
It didn't sound that bad to me.

Just because someone hasn't fully learned the lyrics to a song for a tribute doesn't mean they are drunk or high. Keke just didn't get to learn the song. We don't know when she was asked to participate or what went on. This is not the first time this has happened and it won't be the last. I grew up hearing this song at EVERY family function and lord knows I know just about as many words as Keke. Maybe she should have sat it out, but I can see why she thought it was worth showing up no matter what to show her respect.
Hmph, she can sing, in fact a lot of her family can sing, but she's a colorist. She's made comments about some doll babies being too dark, the blackest. It's also interesting that her career hasn't gone further.
She can sing but she over kills on the runnnnnnnnns.
I don't care if she can sing. She's a whole bird. Period.
