I take no sides and don't care about any beef he currently has. This dude just doesn't move me. I feel like he's hot because the West Coast hasn't had any heavy hitters in well over a decade and they need somebody to put on a pedestal. He just happens to rep his city and has a decent flow but he's nothing special.
MY BROTHER PULLED UP INTO MY PREDOMINATELY WHITE SUBURBAN NEIGHBORHOOD BUMPING THIS ALBUM IN HIS MOSTLY WHOOFERS SUV SUNDAY AFTERNOON. WHEN HE OPENED THE CAR DOOR TO HAND ME THE BUTTERBALL TURKEY HE WANTS ME TO PREPARE FOR THE HOLIDAYS ALL I HEARD WAS THIS SONG ON REPEAT. MY NON-BLACK NEIGHBORS MIGHT NOT HAVE APPRECIATED IT, BUT I THOUGHT: "I GOTTA GET THIS ALBUM/CD SOON!" JUST THOUGT I'D SHARE.....
