The last one was a demonic hot mess. I hope this one is better.

She was a warrior cut down in her prime and she never got past writing hood books.

As Smokey would say, there’s a sad story here…

Probably unreadable. She had her moment years ago and now she's done.

This book is 25 years overdue and her core audience has moved on. She would have done better if she took this new novel and turned it into a script, then shopped it for a movie deal. She wasted precious moments doing nothing. Next.

Her first novel was pretty good, and her second and third were a no for me.

Funny, I was just telling myself the only way I'd pick up a novel in this day and age is if she wrote it

Apparently, I could ask you the same thing, considering you asked me the dumbest question ever. I don't know if you noticed or not, but THIS is a blog where you leave comments and we respond to stories. That's what we do and it's kinda like what you're doing now.

Sistah Soulja dropped the ball on this one and she really eff'ed up if she can't take constructive criticism. It's called maturity. And for the record, the era of people reading urban novels is over. OVER!! There's youtube, instagram and tik tok which has consumed the attention of everyone. Very few people are reading and she should have learned to pivot and she didn't. Even Terry McMillian is doing more movies now because again, no one is reading urban novels.
