Two years ago Beyoncé removed the interpolation of Kelis’ “Milkshake,” which you wrote and produced with Chad Hugo, from her Renaissance track “Energy” after Kelis aired her grievances on social media. Did you ever speak about that with Kelis?

@11:19 exactly! Once they get too big for their britches, and obviously apart of that "exclusive" group, they become so dislikeable, because you know they've done some horrendous things to get to that point.
Kelis explained how Pharrell jerked her out of her royalties. He tried to do the same to Chad Hugo.
Etta James didn’t write At Last and she felt the same. Beyoncé don’t write most of her songs and I’m sure if someone sampled her music she’d have her lawyers sending cease and desists letters.
Pharrell is wrong for kissing up to Beyonce and not supporting Kellis.

That song has been sampled over 50+ times and yet she only had smoke for Bey? Also Beyonce OWNS ALL HER MASTERS, so yes, there would be a lawsuit for illegal sampling.
2:34 that’s what I said when she called herself getting upset. I like Kelis but milkshake is literally a jingle in commercials too, and instead of blasting Pharrell, she went for the one person she knew would not publicly clap back. Smh.
I have a lot of respect for Pharrell, but this was wrong.
Kelis should have stayed quiet, but I ain't mad at her. We all have our days.
