Mathew Knowles Belives Race Played a Role in Cowboy Carter CMA Snub

This week pop star Beyoncé failed to receive a single Country Music Award nomination for her genre jumping Cowboy Carter album [click here if you missed that].

Beyoncé father, Mathew Knowles, says race was definitely a factor in the snub...

From TMZ
Bey's dad tells TMZ … he's not surprised his daughter received zero CMA nominations for her "Cowboy Carter" country album, given her history with the awards show.
Beyoncé has one of the biggest country albums of the year, but Mathew says the voters are "showing it still comes down to white and black."
Mathew sees it like this ... "There's more white people in America and unfortunately they don't vote based on ability and achievements, it's still sometimes a white and black thing."
Beyoncé's dad says he isn't calling the CMA voters racist, but he says her snub "speaks for itself."

Yt not giving country music back. They stole it fair and square.

If you think about it. All the nations have stole the so called Black man’s culture without any acknowledgment of who and where they getting their sh!t from. Music, fashion, science, medicine, inventions, sports. Hell, you name it and we are the source. All you gentiles had to say was thank you. But you couldn’t even do that. So now it’s being taken all away. APTMH.

Was it really the biggest or the most heavily promoted? I wasn’t a fan of any of the songs I heard.

Until the times of the gentiles be fulfilled.

It's not just race but the fact that country music die hard fans might believe she's gimmicky and not serious about the genre. She's not country to me. The Pointer Sisters song Slow Hand was country and Ray Charles did country but even today's country singers are not really country. You have to earn it in that genre, like Loretta Lynn and many others caught hell breaking into the business because fans were picky even in the 1940s and 50s. However once you win them over you are in for life. They don't just embrace you or bow down.

I’m a fan of Beyoncé and at this point Beyoncé should just step back from music and let this industry push who they’re pushing Taylor Swift. And see how far and how tired they will become when there’s no substance in the projects. Beyoncé continue to promote your other ventures and lay back and don’t submit to these Awards shows and see how it will pan out with this so call talent of people out now . It’s obviously all these Awards shows have something against Beyoncé so I’ll step back

Race is def included here. I’m not a fan of her “country” album as country, but that first song Texas 2 Step was such a hit, that it alone should be nominated. But she really didn’t push any this time - no videos, no tour, nothing. So it needed more push too

Could it be people are tired of her, i know i am.

I'm sick of Swift and her love life.

B didn’t do jack to promote the album she just dropped it and walked away and then she expects sales to happen because of who she is.
