Chris Brown Domestic Violence Documentary Set at ID

Investigation Discovery releases the trailer for the new documentary about Chris Brown...
From Variety
Chris Brown’s legal troubles and history of abuse is the subject of a new documentary from Investigation Discovery, the network behind the Nickelodeon child abuse exposé “Quiet on Set.”
Out Oct. 27, “Chris Brown: A History of Violence” will launch ID’s third annual “No Excuse for Abuse” campaign. The doc will explore the legal issues faced by Brown, the pop star behind songs like “With You,” “Forever” and “Under the Influence,” which include domestic violence and assault charges and sexual assault allegations. Brown’s troubles date back to 2009, when he beat his then girlfriend Rihanna, causing severe facial injuries that required hospitalization. (Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault and accepted a plea deal.) In the years following, Brown pleaded guilty to a separate assault and was sued by a woman alleging sexual assault (that lawsuit settled out of court), along with a variety of other legal issues.

We don’t care about white men we’re worrying about our community as black women or number one DV victims and the majority of their partners or black men every time someone points out something that black men are doing we love the go run and holler about what white men doing white men have their community under control. Our community is out of control, black women and black children are being affected the most all of this violence and it’s at the hands of black men. We need to stop defending them stop protecting them. This is why crime is rampant in our community the way it is because it’s always somebody gonna come in under a post talking about well what a white man doing or some agenda that don’t exist , the only agenda is black men trying to destroy our community if they weren’t out here committing these crimes there wouldn’t be any agenda and go over to the white sites and you will see they report on white crime all the time

This is such an important discussion around Chris Brown and domestic violence. It's crucial that we hold celebrities accountable for their actions and support survivors. Blogs

Sean Penn , Nicolas Cage, Mel Gibson, Christian Slater , Ozzy Osbourne, Axl Rose and especially Charlie Sheen has been arrested for Domestic Violence. Why wasn’t any of them the face of Domestic Violence. Not taking up for Chris Brown either because I can’t stand him.

I do care about those white abusers. The numbers don't add up and the spotlight is always on us.

I'm not saying black abusers should slide. I"m saying stop protecting the white abusers in politics, sports, and music.

Bret Farve ripped off the people of Mississippi and they're ready to throw a parade in his honor.

Chris Brown is getting the attention he deserves, but he's Not Like Them.

@6:06 ⬆️ ⬆️ That part where’s their documentary on Investigation Discovery.

I'm not excusing any Black man for abuse but the Yt men are just as bad if not worst. If your going to Doc then add them to the line up for the 2024 Fall season.

Definitely not a CB fan but somebody really got it out for him. If he'd quit F-ing up he wouldn't have this spotlight on him. HOWEVER, as 6:06 stated, white men are a protected class even though they're the majority and the most violent, underhanded and destructive group out there. They never give the same smoke to these barbarians as they do the brothers, even when the heinous acts are pretty much the same. CB is a POS to women and white celebrities who do the same or worse can get a pass. Two things can be true at the same time.

I don't get it and I'm confused. This boy has been arrested how many times? And he's done a long time in jail, specifically a year but that was 10 years ago. He's been walking a straight line, raising his kids and staying out of trouble. So, what's the point in rehashing all of this? Is this Jay Z's way of getting the smoke off of him and refocusing negativity on Chris? Why are they digging up old bones?

Yall asking questions that the article answered!! Where is the white man documentary? The first dam documentary they did in this series was called quite on the set!!!! Nickelodeon!!! Also Chris brown was a repeat offender so while you listing off those white men names if they were protected then how do you even know they committed Dv? if they were protected then guess what it wouldn’t even be public knowledge! Black men are the FACE of DV and crime IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY!! Let’s worry about OUR community how about that.

You all feeling victimized by the producers of this documentary before you even know what's in it. Funny thing is you don't seem to mind that Black women have been victimized over and over by Chris Brown. Years ago when he attacked Rhianna he made himself the poster boy for violence against women. White men didn't do that to him. He earned that title all by himself. In the subsequent years he's only added to his list of victims and bad behavior. I assume in this documentary they're going to lay that out for you. If they don't, jump onto the "I'm with Chris" team. Otherwise accept the fact that Black women need a public defending, and the fact that white men commit the same crimes doesn't make that any less necessary.

Brown should've been in jail for DOMESTIC VIOLENCE !!

Anonymous said...

black men need reproach? Yes ofc!
Add to that the (angry) black woman who likes to control, provoke and belittle her man. Granted, men should take the larger share of the blame; but she, the black woman ain't no angel. This is most definitely an opportunity to cash in on Diddy's notoriety. Sadly, like not or not, all is fair in love and wart

I will be sitting. Apparently a new accuser is coming forward in this documentary. His stans forget Rihanna was the first known victim but certainly not the last. Notice Ammika never downplayed or denied those allegations of him punching her, and he still has an ongoing case across the pond for assaulting a man with a bottle…talking about he’s doing good.

Dude is literally touring to pay off those unpaid taxes . He does not have time to get in any more trouble with the amount of legal problems he has ongoing since last year.

This is definitely a distraction from Jay Z being linked to Diddy. It’s been going around that the video being shopped around could be him in the still. Kind of odd because the difference is Chris actually hasn’t been off the hook. It’s a repeated story. Jay is trying to blind everyone with the up coming Super Bowl halftime show.

Only confused Black people would think this has something to do with Jay Z. Chris is an entertainment industry disaster story linked to Me Too, and this documentary was in the works long before Cassie laid down her facts.

@11:04 Do not ever blame woman for being responsible for the physical abuse they are subjected to which is perpetrated by men. Do. Not. Ever.

Half of the stupid black women defending Chris Brown, would never even be allowed into his VIP section at a club, because they would be considered too dark skinned!!

Who are you working for to be campaigning this hard for this stupid documentary. Do you even know Chris Brown? The man did his time, Rihanna has forgiven him and he's gone on with his life. You should move on too and tend to your business!

^ Keep Crying 😭😂😭😂 😂😭😂 😭

More than Chris has committed DV. Making him the face of Domestic Violence because he has on of the biggest platforms is clout chasing at it's best.

Anonymous said...

Nobody "made him" the face of domestic violence. He did that all by himself.
