Birdman Weighs in on Lil Wayne Super Bowl Snub

Back in July Lil Wayne raised eyebrows after snubbing Cash Money CEO Bryan 'Birdman' Williams' Hot Boys reunion at Essence Fest despite being present [click here if you missed that].

That didn't stop Birdman from feeling slighted after Lil Wayne was passed over for performing at the Super Bowl in New Orleans...

After Kendrick Lamar was announced as the musical guest Birdman demanded respect for Young Money artists Drake, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne.

There is no Super Bowl snub. That's just stupid. When did birthright guarantee someone a singing gig? If that was the case Wynton Marsalis should be the Super Bowl headliner. Or maybe Fats Domino.

The rich cultural history of New Orleans should be featured somewhere during the game. It's often duplicated but there is only one NOLA. They'd probably have a better argument if Wayne could sing or is known for playing instruments.

When the game was in Detroit no Motown act was part of the half-time show. Aretha Franklin sang part of the national anthem and she was not from Detroit. She's from Memphis.

Wayne must be all NOLA got cause they can't shut up about him. Move on already. Whining won't work.

New Orleans has lots of talent. Apparently the powers that be don't see it as half-tie material. That doesn't mean they're not good or unworthy.

'Wayne must be all NOLA got," lol! You are dumb and have NO IDEA of American music history. This was a direct snub and "Not Like Us" was a hit this summer, but most people would rather see Lil Wayne and Crew up there. And I am not a fan of either. But when the Super Bowl was in LA they got Dre. Why would they send an LA act to NOLA?
I would prefer they didn't have Kdot and played the music of NOLA's rich and long lasting history if not Lil Wayne and Crew. Jay Z needs to be fired. Then again what do you expect from a true house kneegrow. It's always politics with him. Never about the culture.

Folks out here crying, as if Wayne's whole career isn't based off his love of drugs and h.oes. He was never America's sweetheart, and they need to accept it. And crying about it after the fact doesn't change anything. The louder they are and the more they whine, the worse it makes Wayne look. Take the L and shut up already.

Kendrick has had way more hits than Wayne lately anyway.

Just for petty fun I hope Kendrick brings out No Limit and Big Freedia. All this unnecessary drama. Smh

Okay so the bullying from YMCB to the NFL over Lil Wayne is childish and these 40+ nigg*s are embarrassing. Adults don’t care about the industry high school.

Little Wayne looks like a drug addict. That not something people want to see.He also looks like he hasn't bathed in awhile.
