Beyoncé Snubbed by the CMAs

Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter Album receives zero nominations for the Country Music Awards...

The 2024 CMA Awards have showered Morgan Wallen and Post Malone with multiple nominations but heavily snubbed Beyoncé, though she had one of the year’s biggest country albums with Cowboy Carter and biggest country songs with “Texas Hold ‘Em.”
Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter made history this year when it spent four weeks on top of Billboard’s Top country albums chart — making her the first Black woman to achieve the feat. She also became the first Black woman to hit the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot country songs chart with “Texas Hold ‘Em,” which held the top position for a whopping 10 weeks. Both her single and album also led Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100 and 200 albums charts, while seven other Cowboy Carter tracks hit the Top 10 of the Billboard country chart. The 27-track project, featuring Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Linda Martell, Miley Cyrus and Malone, drove cultural conversations about Black artists reclaiming the genres they started, including country music.
Despite being completely shut out, Beyoncé qualified for CMA categories like single of the year, song of the year, album of the year, female vocalist of the year and music event of the year. She even qualified for entertainer of the year, though that award is typically reserved for country acts who have built a strong presence in the genre for years.
The CMAs are voted on by members of the Country Music Association, which includes artists, executives, songwriters, musicians, publicists, touring personnel and other industry professionals. Qualified singles and albums must have been first released or reached peak national prominence during the eligibility period, which was July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024 for this year’s show. Final round voting takes place Oct. 1 through Oct. 29.

They (caucasians)stole country music and they are not giving it back. Not even to Bey.

I knew they would ignore her because this album was basically a middle finger in the air to the country music establishment. Plus these people are sick of Beyonce wedging herself into everything and cheating the system. Other than her fans, not many people trust anything she does because her only motivation is to dominate. It was probably why she was motivated into creating the bee hive. If she did something more organic and relaxed, she would probably be more respected.

To all the haters, this has got to be a mistake. Tina turned everything over for Beyonce to get this far. Even made sure the others got darker before she came destined for her solo. Miss me with this.....puh!

Reworking the title:

I'm still glad she did this album and shined a light on all the forgotten Black country music artists. The album did exactly what it was supposed to do and reclaimed our original contributions to the genre. Bey never needed the CMAs, now they have egg on their racist faces.

They've been waiting all year to give her that snub. Meanwhile folks like Macklemore and Mac Miller have swept rap award categories like there were no other competition

Umm so we just gone forget Beyonce herself said “This ain’t a Country album. This is a “Beyoncé” album.” Cowboy Carter is a melting pot of genres. Her album had country elements but it wasn't country. Find something else to be fake mad at.

That’s messed up but the album did what it was supposed to do. Just like her lion king album, she introduced me to artists I’ve never heard of, and I pretty much have in my playlist now.

Some of you’ll say you didn’t know about the other artist before Bey and that’s sad. THIS is why she didn’t get nominated. The country music folks new about the black artist before and they be the real country singers. She showed her hand to soon and lost out.

@1:14 hit the nail on the head. The attention ho gimmick backfired cause the album was azz and her "celebrity" has zero street cred in Nashville. Big ups to Shaboozey and his several nominations. A real black country music artist!
