Wesley Snipes' Blade Breaks Guinness World Records

Wesley Snipes' Blade character makes a surprise appearance in the new "Deadpool & Wolverine," movie despite Marvel recasting the character for the Blade franchise [click here if you missed that].

Nevertheless Wesley's appearance has broken a world record...

From Variety
Wesley Snipes has broken two Guinness World Records after making a unexpected appearance as Blade in “Deadpool & Wolverine.”
The actor’s return as the half-vampire “daywalker” in superhero threequel comes 25 years and 340 days after he first played the character in 1998’s “Blade,” according to Guinness World Records, securing him the record of the longest career as a live-action Marvel character. Snipes beat out his co-star Hugh Jackman, whose first appearance as Wolverine came 24 years ago in 2000’s “X-Men.”
Snipes’ surprise cameo as Blade also earned him another Guinness World Record: the longest gap between character appearances in Marvel films. According to Guinness, he last played the character 19 years and 231 day ago in the 2004 film “Blade: Trinity,” surpassing Alfred Molina’s 17-year gap between playing Doc Ock in 2004’s “Spider-Man 2” and 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”

Congratulations To Blade aka Wesley Snipes!!
He was breaking records & probably didn't know it.... Some Producers tried to Shut him Down by Recasting the character. Those Marvel Cameo Appearances, Made History ~ And Put Him Back In Contention, To Break GUINNESS Records...

He was trolling Marvel about the switch and now they see why. He is Blade.

Wesley said it best, he's the original and ONLY Blade!

Wesley Snipes as Blade saved Marvel and is the reason we have the MCU. They shouldn't have recast him.

That’s why I said he isn’t replaceable, no shade to the other actor. I don’t know what that commenter was talking about. Wesley Snipes is Blade and the comparison to Christopher Reeves, may he continue to rest in peace, was dumb.
