Didn't read like an apology to me. It looked like the hotel knew what she was trying to do & shut it down.

They always have a table to pull out from the back for special guest. Did they know who she was, or did they give her the " I don't see you as important". They wouldn't done that to somebody like Tom Cruise.

It is Olympic week. These restaurants know big money is in town and being spent. They don't have time to cater to celebrities. Money trumps fame each and every time.
Under normal circumstances they would have probably gladly given her preferential celebrity treatment like she's use to, but during Olympic week they were trying to get their dollars in, and the space was reserved for an event. Her meal with her 2 kids not going to balance what a whole event makes, and it's the Peninsula so that restaurant is already famous with or without her. Welcome to being treated like "everybody else" Serena. 🎯

It definitely didn't read like an apology. And so what if she wants to be treated how all the other YT celebrities are treated on the daily. She worked hard for her flowers and she should expect what she expects, period. Too bad the basic haters can't cram to understand

its not basic haters we just know the difference between overt racism vs projections of entitlement. that restaurant was had paying customers who made reservations. They chose money over fame. Fame don't keep the lights on, money does.
