Most restaurants make their money from the drinks but they just don't let us know.
You can still order food without ordering drinks. And DC is the joint for good food by Black folks.
You can find erything from Caribbean to Nigerian food in DC (Google and Yelp are your friends). He probably going to restaurants in Georgetown.

Yes, as a DMV resident, he really needs to hit up some different sources because most folks in the area are scratching our heads at his choices and selections
Not sure where he's going or what he's looking for but there are a lot of local spots he could've hit up that aren't alcohol focused. He's not doing enough research.

I thought Keith Lee’s mission was to promote mom-and-pop restaurants and a lot of us can't afford to go to the places he speaks of. In DC we do a lot of carry-outs.
It’s been awhile since I made my yearly trip to DC…and I’m talking from the Capitol to Howard state area. There weren’t many places to eat back then and I was disappointed. Now I just avoid DC and eat around some spots in Maryland or Virginia.
DC food is too salty. I can't eat any of that mess.

Food is too expensive in DC. Basic Chinese food was $17 for pork fried rice. Hell naw!
