This is absolutely embarrassing. Furthermore, it stings a little that Africans seemingly are viewing most "Black Americans" as ignorant as Tiffany, but we are doing it to ourselves. We have to do much better
I don’t really care for Tiffany, but I don’t think she was being offensive. Some folks are just jealous and look for any reason to hate black Americans. Hate y’all oppressors. Not us.
She was raised in a barn and they are some ignorant Africans. They’re ignorant for thinking we’re all like Tiffany. Fuc ‘em. Really. And she needs to bring her azz home and read a book.
What’s the big deal? I would normally be against her antics but that actually was a really nice store that sells stuff America doesn’t sell or have. And to now view all AAs based on her alone is unfair and ignorant too.
Don't blame Tiffany. Blame the American school system. A lot of us have only been taught their primitive lifestyle and nothing else. And it was reinforced by what you'd see on tv and movies. I'm glad I seek knowledge through other sources or I might have been impressed, too.
^ True that, but I think Tiffany knew there was nothing special about good grocers in Zimbabwe. I think she was doing this for jokes and the joke is on her.
I think Tiffany made this video to let us Black Americans know we can have our the grocery store comforts we're used to if we decide to move back to Africa. But the way this was received makes me dubious about how a Black woman would be received over there. Clearly y'all can't take a joke...
7:39 only thing I learned about Africa is the slave trade. I took global history in HS and World history in College and nothing rings a bell.
But I will always remember those commercials with white people begging citizens to donate a penny while the black children came across our tv screens in little to no clothing, big bellies while being skin and bones, with flies all over them in dusty roads and dilapidated shacks. That is not our fault as black people. That is how Africa was shown to US citizens.
It wasn’t until I started watching Nollywood movies that I realized these countries are developed. My sister’s experience to a country in Africa during college didn’t make it better. She complained about the bugs, the sewage on the streets and the wait for fast food. My sis travels internationally for work and vowed to never return to Africa. She has never went back to this day.
i can't stand this woman. so i won't defend anything she does or says. her whole essence is ignorance and her default setting is "offensive."
but it seems to me that certain people in "the diaspora" look for any reason to pile on "black americans."
we 'akatas,' don't know anything about anything. amiright?! just lazy, don't take advantage of opportunities, "blame everything on race," blah blah blah.
i find my pan-africanist upbringing/ beliefs challenged. every time i look on the internet. smh.

So ignorant.
She is always on her funny. I'm not going to listen to all the foolishness. At least Shes sober. I guess.
She is so damn dumb.

Tiffany Hadish is not a Black an American. She is from Eritrea. We Black Americans do not claim her.
She was happy to see what they had. She was not disrespectful.

We are not a monolith and your just as ignorant as those Africans.

Where was she born? Who raised her?
She was trying to be funny. Nothing serious here. Moving along.
She is unfunny.

Tiffany according to these comments you are losing fans faster than sha’Carri Richardson.
👀👀
Black women correcting and critiquing black women, I’m here for it.
Yawn.
Tiffany has is Eritrean tho’… don’t lump her dysfunctional azz with Black Americans we don’t know this woman!

@7:41 I'd prefer she stay permanently over there and read her book.
Tiffany is in a place where eating dogs is acceptable.
Let that sink in.
Don’t take your pet there. It’ll be prepared with onions and green bell peppers with a glass of wine and side of salad.

People are really up in arms about a joke?
12:01 who said Africa is a country? Again, y’all mad at the wrong people. Be mad the oppressors for showing your continent in that light.
How does her ignorant comments transfer to “Black Americans”??
