(eye-roll) Anything honorary isn't real! I'm also sick of the fake doctorate degrees, distributed on printer paper. It devalues the efforts of those who attend school, study, write papers and grind their teeth waiting to see if they made the grade. As far as sororities and fraternities, if you didn't walk, then it's just on paper. Now go sit down somewhere.
Whoever said "not willing to be abused and humiliated" hit the bullseye! Don't get sucked into those sororities or fraternities, they'll only use and abuse you.
Sororities and fraternities are for people who are desperate to be a part of something and from what I know, a lot of the pledges are either pressed to be in charge (egotistical) or don't know how to lead (sheep). But besides that my main issue with these organizations is that if you're doing truly good and honorable things, why is there so much need for secrecy and why do people have to endure hazing to be proven worthy? Smoke and mirrors all day.
@2:54 PM There need for secrecy is based on the fact that its a cult that abuses their members. Physical abuse, sexual abuse, psychological abuse are all dished out on a regular basis. A hive mentality is strongly encouraged. Following other people's lead while misleading others is all those Orders are all about.
I'm happy with my decision in life to walk my own path without feeling the need to be a follower. I also don't like that some fraternity make horrible, burned brands symbols on Black men's arms. Just like the slave masters did to us for punishment/ownership.

Sororities are a no for me. I know the dark intentions behind them.
