This week Sandra 'Pepa' Denton, from the rap group Salt-N-Pepa, claimed she had been kicked off her Southwest Airlines flight after refusing to give up her second seat for another passenger, despite paying for two tickets so she could stretch her injured leg [click here if you missed that].
Southwest shares their side of the story...
From TMZ
Southwest tells TMZ Hip Hop that initial reports from their teams indicate Pepa did not respond to crew member instructions, and denied her boarding to ensure the safety and comfort of other passengers.
Pepa tells us she'll certainly be exploring her legal options regarding any potential ADA violations toward flyers with disabilities.
According to her, Southwest agents attempted to move her into the bulkhead emergency row, which she declined. Remember, her boarding passes were marked "disabled" ... so, if there were an emergency, she couldn't assist!!!

If she has her ticket, then she has proof. Get'um Pep.
Stop being cheap and flying Southwest & Spirit! Both are trash!
This might be tricky because she may have indeed bought 2 seats, but everyone knows Southwest doesn't have assigned seats, and if the ticket says disabled on it, she may have to sit where they tell her to. No assigned seating is the only issue I've ever had with SW. I hate that because I was once stuck with an obese man who smushed me for 2 hours. Now the question is why was she sold two seats in a non disabled area or was she? SW can't be overbooking and then changing people's seats. Did they overbook and then demand she change? I hate commercial flights.
Southwest is not cheap
Thank you @923. Southwest prices can get up there. And if you watched the video her ticket refund was $2500
As Long As I Have A Face.....
If its last minute, you may not have much of a choice who you fly with..
8:44 shut up, you sound stupid.
@8:44 PM She pinches pennies on her flights on her plastic surgery too. Remember her botched BBL? At her level she should be getting top of the line treatment. She still moves like a project pigeon.
8:44 AM probably never flew a day in their life. SW is far from cheap these days and their prices are right up there with American and Delta. From what I hear I will agree Spirit is trash but they'll nickel and dime dafuk out of you so you really don't save any money.
