Two years ago NFL player Odell Beckham Jr. filed a breach of contract lawsuit against Nike after they withheld $20 million from his endorsement deal after he modified his Nike equipment [click here if you missed that].
This week the case was settled and both sides are declaring victory...

Odell Beckham Jr. may have declared victory, but he’s not going to get anything to show for it.
The star wideout sued Nike for $20 million in 2022, alleging breach of contract, only to be countersued by the sports apparel giant.
On Thursday, a Multnomah County (Ore.) Circuit Court jury decided neither side was in breach of contract, with no one awarded any damages.
That didn’t stop Beckham from calling it a win [on Instagram].
Nike also considered it a W.
“With this verdict, all of Mr. Beckham’s claims have been decided against him without any monetary award,” the company said in a statement. “The decision confirmed that Nike complied with its commitments. Nike is grateful to the jury and the Court for their careful attention to this case.”
The Dolphins receiver — who inked a reported one-year, $3 million contract this offseason — sought more than $20 million in damages from Nike, alleging the retailer withheld royalties owed to him via a sponsorship deal.
“Nike is refusing to honor the deal it agreed to,” the suit reads. “Rather than continuing to pay the compensation and guaranteed royalties it is contractually obligated to pay Mr. Beckham, Nike is willfully withholding millions of dollars and inventing excuses not to pay him.”
Nike countersued for between $7 million-$15 million, claiming that Beckham had violated his contract by customizing his gloves.
Both sides are mired in a legal draw — though Beckham has appealed some of the claims that were dismissed in previous litigation.

@2:43… TRUE… I have a feeling Nike paid OBJ lawyers fees and cut him a check which includes some form of future payments or royalties. He did the right thing tho’. You gotta advocate for yourself. A deal is a deal… honor the contract terms.
