It all started after Normani gave an interview about her last album and mentioned working with Tayla Parx.
Normani talks about her love for Brandy & says she wants her to hop on the “Insomnia” Remix😊 pic.twitter.com/3KbiFjAgFW

That's when Tayla put Normani on blast for using her work without credit or pay.
and then KeKe Palmer stepped in with the repost to make sure Tayla's message went viral.

They're working overtime to make Normani a thing but the truth is, she's just not that girl. No matter how hard she tries her star value never goes up.
Coming from a person in the biz:
Clearances are par for the course and Normani and her team know this. It’s wild how many signed or popular indie artists still would rather get sued than pay, credit, and break off the fair share from jump. Its always an accounting nightmare and costs more in the end so why do it??
well, it's nice to see that normani is carrying on her fave yonce's tradition of stealing people's creative work. SMH! i hope this controversy helps her sell records b/c she need to pay that lady her money & give her credit!
