Last year fans of former daytime talk show host Wendy Williams were stunned at her condition after the airing of the Lifetime documentary "Where is Wendy Williams [click here if you missed that]?"

For producers Mark Ford and Erica Hanson, their multi-part Lifetime docuseries Where Is Wendy Williams? was a project that served as a force of healing and came from a place of support.
"This is not an easy story to watch or to tell. But hopefully we did it truthfully, with integrity and sensitively," Hanson told ET.
"She's still fabulous, you know, even in the dire situation she's in. Wendy has an incredible spirit, you know, and I think people can feel that," Ford added. "[And] she really appreciates the love and attention that her fans have given her because of this platform."
According to Ford, they haven't spoken with Williams since the documentary debuted, but he claims that he's spoken to "people who are close to her, and she has seen the film, and she's fine with it, according to the people that have spoken to her."
They have, however, been in touch with Williams' family, "And the story's not over. I could say that much," Ford shared. "We've continued to be in touch with them and they're very supportive of the project."
"I think, you know, this isn't the end of this story. There'll be more," Ford suggested. "I don't think the world has seen the last of Wendy Williams."

If she was having a "moment" it doesn't matter if she approved it. Did the producers pick the "right time" to show her.

Oh, no you don't. You may have been honest but didn't do it with integrity nor sensitivity. You showed Wendy at her worst. This was a "bring down" and you brought a bih down.
I don't like Wendy and never have, but I wouldn't wish this kind of destruction (thank you, 10:23) on anyone.
Wendy not being in contact with Ford and Hanson sense the airing indicates just how much she DIDN'T approve the final cut.
For them to claim innocence, is the insult after the injury. I'd have more respect for them if they owned up to their brutal attack.

No way she was fully cognizant of all the happenings surrounding that debacle. She's a puppet and they're pulling the strings. Prayers for Wendy.
These are some horrible people; how can Wendy effectively produce or even co-produce and approve something like this in her cognitive state of decline?

OH PLEASE!!! From the film we all saw that she is not in control of her mindset. I don't think it's only to drinking. She looks overmedicated also. I'd rather you say, we wanted to make money and this was an easy thing to do. Also she wasn't beloved so after you got guardianship, pulling this was too easy. I could respect it more if you told the truth. It's all very suspect!!
We're here Wendy whenever you're ready to come back to the chair.
Wendy may have approved the project but that doesn’t mean she approved or had any control of the final cut.
