Tyra Banks is still rooting for America's Next Top Model.
And though it's been more than six years since Tyra was last holding just one photo in her hands, the 50-year-old is hopeful she hasn't delivered her last critique.
"We have tried, so it's not us," she told E! News at the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue launch party of her efforts to get her brainchild back on the air. "It's the powers that be. I'm not the biggest boss in the room, so it's not my doing. Maybe one day."

Shouldn't have been on in the first place. Just a scam. Not one of those girls was ever going to be a "top model".
Yeah the show was a unrealistic scam. The majority of the contestants were hardly high fashion model material. More like calendar, boat show, cosmetic counter models.
Tyra made the show hard to watch with all her narcissistic behavior. The show had a good run. No need to resurrect it. Tyra must be bored.

8:28 AM, not true Winnie is at the top of her game right now. Tyra introduced her to the modeling world to show how beautiful a woman with vitiligo is. Hey Winnie, the first I might add, and shorty Ms. Thang Eva modeled and acts now. There are others that did well.
I don't see too many American Black models on the Catwalk now. They are using more African Women. I'm not sure why but they are on the runway presently.
It was entertaining at the time. I liked the judges they were a keekee. Especially God rest his soul L Talley and Miss J Alexander. I wonder what ever happened to him.
Winnie notwithstanding, you do not seem to understand what a "top" model is. Neither did Tyra's show.

She got several women and men work that may not have been seen before. I have not seen anyone from the Voice make it big. The singing shows are mostly made up of country musicians that win. Black ppl are not winning because no one votes for them.
Americas Got Talent is a Freak show. These shows are for entertainment. That's it. Go Tyra.
Well, I'm rooting for an ANTM comeback. Those reruns on Hulu are certified GOLD when it comes to entertainment. And the shows produced SEVERAL successful models/actresses/entertainers; Yaya, Eva, Winnie, Tocarra, etc - and there were a few others that became big overseas (yt chick from the first season who was runner up). However, I think if the show is revamped, it should exclude that yt goth judge - and bring back the original (2) Jays along with Nigel. The first 10-12 seasons were dope because it had the right balance of comedy, fashion and camp. Mr. Jay's criticisms and flair for fashion shoots were THE BEST! And the chemistry that the three of them had (Tyra, Jay Manuel, and Miss Jay) were just *chef's kiss*. I still binge watch the first 10 seasons (season 6 being my favorite cause of the "undiscovered supermodel" LMAO).
Naomi Campbell the better model, has a better TV show with the modeling series: The Face.
