Law Roach Reveals Labels Who Refuse to Dress Zendaya
In a candid new interview stylist Law Roach reveals fashion brands Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Yves St. Laurent and Valentino refused to dress Zendaya and she still hasn't worn them to this day...
I'm glad he aired them out. There are so many talented brands that you don't need them to slay a red carpet. She can put some new upcoming designer on the map like M Obama did at her ignoration.
Not shocked at Gucci or Chanel but sadly black people flock to their stores buying their overpriced rags. The jokes on every black person who runs out and buys their ish because they want your money but they're not going to specifically include you in their market.
If you watch the video he says she never wore some of those designers on the red carpet but she has worn them in print. And she didn't wear Valentino until she got a contract. So it's not really a protest and I didn't hear him mention anyone Black and independent that she supports. Sounds to me like she stood her ground until the money called.
Law need to be a designer not a stylist. He need his OWN house. THE HOUSE OF LAW. I surely would patronize The House Of Law and buy his clothing brand.
I mean I read the article on it, and this was happening when she was about 13 or 14, and they were telling her she was just to new and not enough work under her yet. Sounds like any other job that turns down someone for not having enough experience on their resume.
Gucci's customer base seems to be majority Black because I have never seen anyone White or any other people group wearing it. Valentino and Dior have a huge amount of Black male and female customers who buy their fragrances, makeup, and clothing as well as Chanel. So if someone doesn't appreciate your dollars, then you take your dollars elsewhere. Shop independent lesser known folks. Patti Labelle has always bought shoes, art, and clothing from Black businesses. They are a little harder to find but they are out there.
On another note, what's the big deal about wearing those big or so-called luxury brands on the red carpet? Are you paid to wear them on the red carpet? What am I missing? Why would that offend anyone when they need me, I don't Need them? So many smaller companies would gladly step in to dress you to show off their fashions, and so why care about those who don't want to dress you? I'm glad he was honest though.I can honestly see why a big designer house would jump to style stars like Lupita, Viola, Angela, Halle, and the others ahead of Zendaya because of their ticket power and visibility. Remember when Juliana Rancic said Zendayas hair on the red carpet.looks like she smells like patchouli oil and weed? She's always been treated differently in that crowd and so I would never advertise for them if I felt mistreated. So roll with lesser known brands who can out style the big brands. Problem solved.

Nevertheless, I shop and walmart and still style on the muggles, it's not about the clothes, its all about your energy and frequency, you can wear the cheapest clothes and carry yourself like royalty, I never understood people so impressed by these overprice and overrated labels, whatever to distract us from being overworked, over taxed and underpaid, while the rich get richer.
@11:41 They did unify in the 70's. Emphasis was on truly original style and people laughed at you if you paid your own good money to give free advertising to some designer's name across your body.
This guy talks too much. Those designers have dressed plenty of other Black celebrities in the past. I don't get the whole Zendaya thing anyway. She's beautiful but lacks charisma.
