That's her job. Too many semi-stars and not enough time for each to make a major turn on the steps. It's a "say hi and get outta here" kind of thing.
She should have her her security to man handle this usher, she is doing way too much and I think they are paying her to do so to create talking points and attention.
I saw Heidi Klum on the same steps swirling and posing with no security guards present.
Thank goodness she won't have this job for long. She'll be able to get another gig, but she's not a smart worker and is attracting too much bad publicity. Next.

We should see what freedom Heidi has as she gets to the top of stairs. Maybe they’re all free at the bottom/mid stairs but then they are rushed through on the way up the stairs? It seems to be the stair level when security steps in to get them up the stairs but we’re not seeing the complete walk of each celeb

Honestly, no one even knew who the Ukranian model was and she acted like a groupie sneaking in and getting caught. Lol. I love how she tried to get through. Lol She actually made it funny! Lol. I like her. Someone like Naomi and Heidi are always over there on the French Riviera and so they are familiar faces that might be able to prance more. They are a part of that culture to a degree. However, if I were Kelly I would've been mad too if the security gaurd touched me or was snappy. Sometimes it's "how" you do things that make people react. All guests should've been informed that the schedule was extremely tight and to keep it moving. However the celebs wanted the free press and so they kept posing. Lol Next time the festival needs to communicate the protocol in advance because guests didn't know why the security was pushy.
Next year, they should avoid Cannes if that handsy usher/security guard is still employed. There is no way I would ever want to show up to a venue and be treated that way. Unprofessional and inappropriate.
The usher didn't recognize Kelly Rowland. She was looking for dark-skinned Kelly.
