Two years ago actor Will Smith famously slapped comedian Chris Rock during the live broadcast of the Academy Awards for making a bald joke about his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith [click here if you missed that].
Comedian Jerry Seinfeld asked Rock to recreate the slap for his lated project but Rock wasn't up for it...

Jerry Seinfeld revealed during a recent interview on the “Fly on the Wall” podcast (via People) that he wanted Chris Rock to parody the infamous Oscars slap in his feature directorial debut “Unfrosted,” which recently premiered on Netflix. The issue was that Seinfeld filmed the comedy movie not long after the March 2022 Oscars, and Rock was allegedly feeling too “shook” to be able to perform in the movie.
“The other thing I wanted to do that I almost did was Chris Rock was going to be the emcee of the Bowl & Spoon Awards — and we shot that right after the Will Smith slap,” Seinfeld explained. “I was going to have somebody come up on the stage and have Chris punch ’em out as they got there.”
“Unfrosted” is loosely based on the true story of the creation of Pop-Tarts. Set in 1963, it tracks the rivalry between cereal companies Kellogg’s and Post as they compete to have the breakfast pastry hit the market first. Seinfeld stars in the movie opposite Melissa McCarthy, Jim Gaffigan, Max Greenfield, Hugh Grant and Amy Schumer.

Everything is funny till the joke is on them. Chris didn’t want any part of this. Seinfeld really has some nerve to want to put Chris’s humiliation in his film. Wonder what Chris has to say about this. We’ll probably never know.
Just like Steve Harvey, Seinfeld is another one who complains about the “hard left” for canceling people like Michael Richards (who infamously called a heckler the N-word). Bet Jerry would be hard on anyone if they told an “oven” joke.

I fully understood what Snitch posted. If Chris was gon' punch anyone out at anytime it should have been when he was slapped by Will. Chris would be a fool to relive that moment again (regardless of the outcome) for a joke in Seinfeld's film. Jerry has some nerve.

I remember Chris sat down with Jerry, Louis CK, and Ricky Gervais. The n word was thrown around like nothing, Chris encouraged it and laughed but Jerry was only one who refused to speak the word.
That incident told me all I needed to know about Chris and what I needed to know about Jerry.

And the fact that Jerry said he doesn’t use the N word nor ever has a reason to said he was more upstanding than I thought. Two other white men laughed it up but Jerry stood ten toes down on it not being funny! That’s why I like Jerry!
