I hear the play is okay from professional Broadway thespians. A couple of nomination I would say is believable but 13 raise the question "How Much did she Pay for them"?
I don’t think they have to pay for these nominations. I love Broadway but every year there are only so many few new shows that they’re bound to find 1 or 2 to label as the prize. Yes they should pick this one over the Jackson show

I didn't say she deserved a couple of nods but 13 though. She has connections in Brdwy/NYC. The story line has been done over and over again.
She was reared up in the area. AK knows how to play NY politics. Rubbing elbows with the right ppl.
I asked my sis who got free tickets. Says it's about Alicia's teenage life and how her white mom trying to protect her. My sis said it was OK. But she wouldn't pay a dollar to see it.

It's ridiculous that Alicia is "the chosen one" for NYC. I actually make it a point to skip over her. This is the first Alicia post I have clicked on in a long time.
