R.I.P. Rico Wade

Atlanta super producer Rico Wade has died age 52...

Atlanta's vibrant hip-hop community is mourning the loss of a true legend on Saturday. Rico Wade, a key figure in the city's music scene, passed away at the age of 52, according to his family.
A statement was released around 1 p.m. on Saturday, bringing the sad news and asking for privacy as the family grieves.
"We are deeply saddened by the sudden and unexpected passing of our son, father, husband, and brother Rico Wade. Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of a talented individual who touched the lives of so many. We ask that you respect the legacy of our loved one and our privacy at this time."
- The Family of Rico Wade
Rico Wade may not have been a household name, but his influence resonates through the beats and lyrics of some of Atlanta's biggest hip-hop icons. As a member of the pioneering production group "Organized Noize," alongside Ray Murray and Sleepy Brown, Wade played a pivotal role in shaping the sound of Southern hip-hop in the early '90s.
One of Wade's most notable contributions was his work with Outkast and Goodie Mob, helping to craft their debut albums and setting them on the path to superstardom. But his influence extended far beyond working with groups. Wade was a founding member of the Dungeon Family, a musical collective that includes luminaries like Andre 3000, Killer Mike, Big Boi, CeeLo Green, and even his own cousin, Future.

@4:32 did you look up and see this man had a serious drug problem it’s easy to find if you google this is why his family said respect the legacy and privacy. Here’s just one article I found from 2010 But as their rap empire grew, OutKast battled internal strife while Dungeon Daddy Rico Wade battled drug and money worries. You see we can’t fix the problems in our communities if we continue to blame others or make up wild theories like someone is trying to take out black men in their 50’s tell me exactly what are any of these men doing that’s so pivotal that someone wouldn’t to take them out? Here’s a health lesson your heart is a muscle once muscle is damaged it doesn’t heal or regrow the damaged part dies now here’s some homework look up how drugs affect the heart then THINK how long will someone live with heavy drug use. Makin it to 50 is really beating the odds. Let’s stop with someone doing something narrative and letters advocating that black men stop unaliving themselves and others due to drugs alcohol and violence. Let’s face reality.

6:02 Where did I state a wild theory? I just said it's weird. Not every celeb black male who died in his 50s was a crackhead, drug user or alcoholic. That accounts for some but not all.

Rico also had a bad heart and I read that heart issues ran on his father's side of the family. That, coupled with his history of alcoholism, likely took him out. I'm speculating a heart attack, but I could be wrong. I met him a couple of years ago, and he was so nice. Atlanta is hurting.

6:02, it's crazy he had money issues. I looked it up and it was speculated that he was only worth $6m at time of death. As much as he was a part of, I expected him to be worth double that.

Have you seen his death certificate?
What a ghoul, posting a windbag essay about some stranger's death as if you had access to his medical records. Pure conjecture and nothing else.

@6:02am THE LORD Teaches Us That. "Take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your HEARTS be OVERCHARGED with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life. Luke 21:34... Be Wise My Babies.

Only 6 million, in what world is that not a win? Rest in peace🙏🏿

I never said it wasn't a win. I said for the amount of things he's been part of, he should be worth far more.
