Last month Good Times star John Amos' daughter, Shannon Amos, convinced LAPD to re-open the elder abuse case she filed against her brother, K.C. Amos, accusing him of neglecting their father's care [click here and here if you missed that].

The investigation into allegations of neglect regarding John Amos' care has been closed.
Law enforcement sources tell us detectives spoke to the parties involved and determined no crime had been committed -- or at the very least, there wasn't enough evidence.
We're told cops concluded the entire ordeal stemmed from an ongoing family dispute ... and they put the matter to bed, officially.

Mr. Amos protected his son but I heard the audio and the son has issues and the way he treated his poor mom was foul. However, John seems to favor his son more.
You can't help someone who doesn't want it. I wish John Amos well.
