Amanda Seales Opens Up About Black Emmy Party Ban and Clash with Issa Rae
Five years ago Amanda Seales was barred at the door from the Black Emmy's party after a clash with Issa Rae's publicist [click here if you missed that].
Amanda goes in depth about what happened...
After explaining how she was physically removed from the party, after defying Issa's publicist, Amanda tells Shannon,
"I've always protected Issa, however there's just been enough instances at this point where I should have been protected by Issa and I wasn't."
When a narcissist has made you their target they won’t stop until they devour you or blow up the spot. They’ll make a big fuss about any arbitrary perceived slight to their ego. Now Issa knows this! The only and best defense is to ignore them. Issa Ray is smart not to respond. You’re not gonna win in an argument with a narcissist. Just walk away quietly with your dignity.
If someone or a group of people didn't want me around them, I would never whine or cry about it but instead stay away from them. What part of they don't like you does Amanda not get?
I’m trying to understand why Issa said that’s between her publicist and Amanda. Who is paying who? Is the publicist paying Issa to be an actress or is Issa fueling the fire for her publicist to do what she did. Pretty much throwing a rock and then hiding her hands . The f’ck?? I think it’s the latter. Colorism is ingrained in the black community. I really hate this. I’m the same complexion as Issa so I get being pushed to the side for the lighter skin. girl. Issa just doesn’t like Amanda. Chris Rock treated Michael Ealey like that because of his perceived entitlement and having perks of being lighter complexion. Michael spoke about Chris bullying him as a newcomer and Kerry Washington had to tell Chris to stop being mean to him.
