Two years ago when former daytime talk show host Wendy Williams' reappeared after abandoning 'The Wendy Williams Show' without explanation, she excitedly announced to her fans that she was getting a podcast, though it was painfully obvious she had no idea what a podcast was [click here if you missed that].
Last week, ahead of the shocking two-part "Where is Wendy Williams" documentary that aired on Lifetime, Wendy's family made the rounds in the media promoting the doc, insisting Wendy was on board with the project because she, "wanted to take ownership for everything that happened [click here if you missed that]."
Now sources close to production claim Wendy thought she was filming for her podcast and had no clue she was filming an exposé style documentary...

WENDY Williams did not realize she was filming a documentary in her dementia struggle as the Lifetime series is set to air this weekend, an insider has shared with The U.S. Sun.
Multiple sources exclusively told The U.S. Sun that while Wendy was filming her upcoming documentary for Lifetime, she had no idea what the camera crews around her were for.
"She believed she was filming podcast promotions at times, but she certainly did not seem to understand this was for a documentary," a source revealed.
"She did not know she was filming a documentary," another Wendy insider added.
That source added that Wendy would never have allowed herself to be filmed without her wig on - in reference to a clip that was released showing her on her couch talking to Blac Chyna without her hair on.
"If Wendy was of sound mind when she was filming, she would have never allowed for them to tape her like that. She never allowed to be seen without her hair."
Two sources who participated on camera in the docuseries said that Wendy was not the only one seemingly in the dark on the project.
One said they were told the project would paint Wendy in a positive light and they were disappointed to watch the trailer.
Another claimed that they were misled into believing what they filmed had something to do with her apparently never to materialize podcast as well.
The second Wendy insider also questions if the star even knows that a docu-series was being released last weekend.

A hot mess.
Anyone who is around her can tell she isn't cognitively aware of what is going on. She probably has what's called 'Wet Brain" , it's caused by lifelong alcoholism . She drank herself into this state long before the documentary was finished and this diagnosis came out in the press. People have taken advantage of her because they can. Her family, her son , her ex husband and her siblings should not have access to any of her money.
I saw that heart breaking clip with Blac Chyna and it really shouldn't have been released to the public. It's kinda terrible that Blac Chyna didn't see the footage and demand they edit it out , if only out of respect for Wendy
Bye Wendy! I never seen someone spouting over and over and over again how they want to be famous, want to be on TV. She has a very deep rooted insecurity that makes her love a camera in her face. I think Will had to keep her complicit by promising her camera time. Wendy is toxic as they come.

Wendy appeared drugged. Even her speech was slurred.
Wendy got great pleasure out of ruining other people's lives so it's hard to feel sorry for her. She is where she is because of her own bad choices. Nobody did this to her.
@ 3:16, she didn't do anything different from what Howard Stern did yet his majority white celebrity targets didn't accuse him of ruining their lives. Somehow black folks feel that different rules apply when it's a black female.
This somebody from that janky arse conservatorship and that debmar Murray production company that’s who the sources are they trying to discredit this documentary and use public outcry because they don’t want the world to see how they failed Wendy and have been trying to get her money they are trying to make it seem as if her family and son are against her and that’s not the case! A petition should be started to have that conservatorship canceled!! Period
