Tiffany Haddish Accepts Plea Deal in DUI Case

Last year comedian Tiffany Haddish was arrested on DUI charges in Beverly Hills after falling asleep behind the wheel in traffic, in her second DUI arrest in as many years [click here if you missed that].

Tiffany has accepted a plea deal that includes no jail time...

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the comedian appeared in a Los Angeles County courtroom today and pled no contest to reckless driving.
As a part of the plea deal, the other charges have been dropped. This is very common in DUI cases, and is referred to as a “wet reckless.”
The comedian was placed on summary probation for one year and ordered to complete 40 hours of community service. Plus, Haddish was ordered to complete the “Mothers Against Drunk Driving’s Victim Impact Program” and the “HAM (Hospital and Morgue) Program.”

So she gets off with a slap on the wrist for putting the lives of others in danger,, on the road, TWICE. Great.

They should’ve also revoked her driver’s license for at least 2yrs AND ordered her to complete a 30-day in patient drug + alcohol rehab.

She paid for that slap on the wrist. They need to revoke her license. They probably won't revoke it till it's too late.

This is really standard in most L.A. DUI offenses. I had a family member who had their second DUI and they were ordered probation, suspended their license for a year and had to work in the morgue to see DUI fatalities. After seeing those mutilated dead bodies, they never took another drink again. It sobered them right up. Tiffany needs a lot of help and I hope she gets it.

Imagine the guilt /remorse of people who are still walking around knowing they caused horrible deaths due to their selfish actions. Not a feeling I would ever want to experience. Hopefully, Tiffany will absorb everything she is about to observe at those places and see why drinking while driving is bad first hand. I’m sure, in a sober state, her misery isn’t that bad that she would put others in danger also hurting families/friends of the victim(s).
I’m rooting for her to do better and to keep holding her head up.
